When he is putting just adequately, he is unbeatable. Truly a very gifted individual. How long will it last now that he has found a putter that works for him? Three out of the last four tournaments and counting.

I agree, IMO his putting cost him some wins last season; so far it looks like he’s put in some time on that.

The truest of true hypocrites. He railed against LIV golf and now that he can't win on the PGA tour he goes for the money (maybe. I'll believe it when I see it). I really think Rahm left for the same reason. He won a bunch early last year and then lost the magic so he thought he'd make a splash on LIV and win every week and get paid handsomely while doing so. Rahms decision paid off well for him because this years showing at the Masters showed how pedestrian his game really is and the PGA is really too hard for him. No one shows up at these LIV events or watches them on the tube and now he's lonely and jealous. McIlroy lost his magic years ago so now it's good to defect for the money. They all will be rich but no one will remember them. Greed wins at the expense of becoming a legend.

I agree with some of this but saying that Rahm knows the PGA is to hard for him is a little out there. He's one of the best golfers on the planet. Great golfers run in cycles. It's a very competitive sport and you best win when you are hot. Scottie Scheffler is the flavor of the month right now. He's super hot but his putting is very suspect. He'll cool off and someone else will take over.

Work with me here. Rahm's a great golfer. He left the tour for money. He had the spotlight on him last weekend and show how good LIV golf really is. He fell on his face. He was at best an afterthought. When he put the coat on Scheffler, I don't think he said a word. His own words show what a colossal hypocrite he is:
in June 2022 at the U.S. Open, with some stars already out the door, when he shrugged off a massive potential payday: “Money is great, but when [he and his wife] started talking about it, we were like, ‘Will our lifestyle change if I got $400 million?’ No, it will not change one bit. Truth be told, I could retire right now with what I’ve made and live a very happy life and not play golf again. So I’ve never really played the game of golf for monetary reasons. I play for the love of the game, and I want to play against the best in the world. I’ve always been interested in history and legacy, and right now the PGA Tour has that.”
“ At the beginning of the 2024 season after winning the Masters: "When they slap a large amount of money in your face, your feelings do change,” he says.

Scheffler will go cold at some point and someone else will get hot but LIV's best guy, as you know, was a tie for 6th and that is just not very good when all their best were there. This is IMO of course but LIV golf just isn't that good for what the Saudis are dishing out. I guess all the majors are letting LIV play so we'll see how good or bad they are but Rahm and McIlroy are the truest of hypocrites.

Yeah, they've lost a lot of ground in one year. I know you know but for the record, the results of LIV at the Masters 2024:
Bryson DeChambeau - Tie for 6th
Sergio García - cut
Tyrell Hatton - Tie for 9th
Dustin Johnson - cut
Brooks Koepka - Tie for 45th
Adrian Meronk - cut
Phil Mickelson - Tie for 43th
Joaquín Niemann - Tie for 22nd
Jon Rahm - Tie for 45th
Patrick Reed - Tie for 12th
Charl Schwartzel - cut
Cameron Smith - Tie for 6th
Bubba Watson - Cut
Maybe playing only 54 holes in shorts had an effect. Maybe getting paid millions for just showing up had an effect. Three more majors for them to prove their mettle. Will they? Frankly, I couldn't care less. Just trying to point out the hypocrisy.
