Georgia destroyed TCU 65-7.Â
I realize playing with the transitive property is dangerous, but TTUN lost a close game to TCU. Georgia beat OSU when an OSU field goal with time expiring missed. But it sure looks like OSU may have been the better team in the B1G? It will lead to a lot of fun discussion.Â
I suspect the final ratings will have OSU at #2. So close, but yet so far.

That game Just poured a healthy dose of salt in the wound. Based on how they have ranked teams before, TCU will be number two and Michigan will be three.

Looking forward to the ranking, I think they will not follow the past. This variance is too big to sweep under the rug.

Well it should be. I could see Michigan ranked second because of the one loss, and us third. But doubt that happens.

TCU had no business being on that field last night
The Buckeye/UGA game the week before was the true National Championship

First, who gives a ***** whether OSU ends up #2, #3, or #4? If we're not #1, it doesn't matter.
This is now the FOURTH time in the last decade we were screwed out of a natty. Unbelievable.
2012: The NCAA and their bogus bowl ban. Bama would have whacked us that year, but we would have played ND and beaten them.
2015: The ridiculous bad weather loss to MSU combined with their miracle punt block against UM kept us out of the CFP. That was essentially the same team that win the natty the year before.
2019: Great, great OSU team gets jobbed by the refs. LSU would definitely have been a tough challenge in the Finals. But we deserved to be there!
2022: Georgia gets away with a cheap shot to our star receiver, and eeks out a win. We would have also massacred the Horned Frogs.
Has any team been as snake bitten over this many years as the Buckeyes? Like ever?
All right, enough. Let me go over and punch this wall, then I'll feel better lol

Did the muffed punt thing happen in 2015 or 2016? I'm not 100% on that one. Â
As for the refs in 2019 and this year? It was the review booth in BOTH cases that killed us. Just absolutely killed us. On that note, regardless of the targeting the spot review on Bowers' 4th down dive was mind boggling. Not enough evidence to see where he crossed the sideline, hence not enough to overturn. We are up, I believe, 38-24 at that point. THAT was GAME. OVER.

It seems to be OSUâ€s lot in the college football world to be close but not win it all. Now, weâ€ve won a lot. 8 is great. But I believe weâ€ve left about 7 more on the table in my lifetime.

I'm repeating myself, but I've mentioned that this is what separates us from Alabama -- heartbreak. All the Tide knows is winning. Very few examples where they didn't close it out. Â
Yeah, going back to when I was a little kid I'd say 69, 70, 73, 75 and 79. Of those 5, 75 and 79 the most excruciating because we already crushed UCLA earlier in the year in 75, and lost the title to USC by one damn point in 79. Those close calls are major players in defining OSU fans. Our insanity, paranoia and cynicism are unmatched. And for good reason.

Shoot, I forgot 79….thanks for bringing that heartbreak up again. I can see in my minds eye where I was as an 11 year old, listening to Paul McDonald and Charles white drive USC down the field to win it.
