(11-28-2022, 05:06 PM)Hightop77 Wrote: You have lost this one badly and that is why you are going completely dishonest.  "Minor shoplifting"?  What I described and what has been happening there is not minor shoplifting.  It is looting.  That is why Walgreens closed at least 10 stores in San Francisco and that is just one example.

As for the 2020 riots, it was such a small percentage of rioters/looters that were actually prosecuted, any description along the lines of virtually none of the rioters/looters were prosecuted is quite accurate actually.
Referencing shoplifting was to make the point that very, very few crimes are ever reported on the news when they happen, much less reported when there is an arrest, conviction and sentencing. You were among the people that claimed that none of the rioters, looters or arsonist were ever arrested. I spent my time researching to find examples of ones that had been arrested, convicted and sentenced, but do you really believe that you will ever hear about 95% of the people arrested in the country?  You were also among the people that claimed some huge discrepancy in how the rioters were treated compared to the January 6th people. You never provided, as far as I know, one example to support that claim either.

Like I said earlier, conservative news loves to report on crime.  If you think they put even one 100th of the efforts into reporting on the subsequent activities in the judicial system, you are crazy. So, again, how much time have you ever spent trying to find out what happens in the situation like we saw in San Francisco? Do you think any body on Fox News is going to report that nine people were arrested and charged with felonies last year for the looting?

Apparently you don't understand I live in one of the riot cities.  The riots were organized and involved a lot of out of town people that appeared to be antifa working with BLM and others.  The police had no control over the situation and were completely outnumbered and totally restrained by the Leftist mayor.  The city was paralyzed for at least of week as rioters had control of the streets.  Nearly all of the people arrested were released the next day.  There were few that ever faced serious charges in spite of wide spread damage and looting.  The DOJ has been more interested in prosecuting cops related to those riots.  Totally unlike Jan 6th where the FBI used every technology available to hunt down everyone in the vicinity and drag them back to DC.  Many apparently still in the DC jail in gulag type conditions a year and a half later.
JFC.... Now we've gone from unsupported hyperbole to anecdotes and quoting Marjorie Taylor Greene.

So you think links to websites are more credible than people witnessing actual events?  I can see how you got so stupid.  Smile
My friends who owed a shop in the Pearl District (and were just about to open a restaurant) were part of a local business organization. These people, who lived through the destruction, so not just witnesses, but actual victims, noted that of over 100 crimes against their collective properties only one person was arrested. The person was released and never charged.

This is the America you want. A land of crime, destruction and filth. The irony is that you live in some lily white suburb while you cheer on the the vandals, thieves and thugs. All of this is the result of immoral people like who enjoy the wanton destruction of everyday hardworking peopleâ€s small businesses.
