"Shoving" a mouthy abortion lover or Third Time DUI, WHICH IS WORSE?
#49
Pros and cons to unions.

Pro:  If you like to know where you stand/a clear set of rules for advancing and/or changing jobs.  A union environment is good.

If you wanna roll the dice and hope your performance trumps the azz kissing ability of the dolt in the cubicle next to you?  Be my guest.  Apparently I like certainty.

Con:  they protect lazy POS and make it almost impossible to get rid of them.

There are multiple pros and cons.  I weighed the factors and stayed in that environment.  They're definitely not for everyone nor every industry.  If I owned a business I sure as hell wouldn't want to deal with them

This is why I chose sales, I write my own check based on how many people I can convince to do business with me.

It used to be stressful until I got established, now my reputation of being an honest and hardworking guy does it for me

Not very many people are successful in that field.  Kudos to you for sticking it out.  [Image: emoji106.png]    Cool

Lol personal space must be respected.  Funny protestors donâ€t get in my face.  Even when I crossed a picket line when local district teachers refused to teach the kids in 1993, they just parted as I walked by.

I did have someone get in my face after a Bush speech back in 04. I was there with my Mom and two of my friends. We were in middle school. I sure got some hate my way and I had nothing political on. Also watched that group flip the bird to Marine 1 as it took off.

Thatâ€s terrible. Iâ€m sorry that happened.

Actually didn't bother me much George. We were just walking back to the car to leave and have my Mom drop us back off at school. It did rattle one of my friends. He couldn't wait to GTFO of the place. I think he thought he was gonna get shot or something. Certainly wasn't in the nicest part of town.
