This is a true statement.  I think most blacks would agree with it.  Just ask them where they would and wouldn't feel comfortable walking at night.  Of course I'm talking in 2022 America.  Not Jethro Bodine Alabama, circa 1964.   

Anyway, it is a true statement on its face without doing any digging or analysis.  There are multiple factors that make this the case.  Largely with, IMO anyway, single parent households being the biggest driver.  

There may also be some racial differences (though I suspect it's minimal.  Irish whites and blacks are hardly similar in genetic background, but there's historically been a propensity for violence among Irish as well, which suggests that race likely isn't the biggest driver) at play as well.  f.e. there's staggering poverty in some places in India and the far east, but the rate of violence isn't nearly as high as it is in places like, say, Chicago.

You (the general you) could probably write volumes on the topic of specific groups and a stereotype of violence.  Lots of ingredients in that stew.

Well, in this case it was the guys showing how tough they were, inviting the slaps. I would like to think my daughter wouldâ€ve not have been slapping, but she surely would have been with the group. The kid getting hit was described as "severely cognitively disabled according to the mom." So you think that's OK? Just kids having fun? If the bball players want to screw around smacking each other, that's a different deal, but once you start hitting any other kid, especially a kid that's disabled, that's battery, that's a criminal offense. I'm shocked you think that's OK. 

Obviously he wasnâ€t that disabled if he caught onto a meme and wanted to participate, and was in HS.  Iâ€ve been around a fair share of disabled people, and most of them just want to be one of the guys and bro around.
