This is from a website I occasionally peruse due to the interesting visual graphics. This one has 33 graphic squares, each with a name of a media issue (e.g., sensationalism) and then defines the term. I actually thought this was a decent description of the issues in a mostly neutral manner.Â
Two media issues were either left out, or were represented by multiple other categories. I consider News Aggregation as a false means to convey uniformity of news opinion and a means to bury alternate stories. The second one would be the the dominance within mainstream media of articulating the "news" in alignment with one particular party.Â
But overall, it's worth a good look and would help to set a metric for discussions we have on the board. Haha, I just might print it out and tape on the wall next to my desk for easy reference.
