Political leanings of the board

These types of tests also donâ€t account for straight up moronic paranoia and conspiritard theories, which canâ€t rationally be accounted for on pure ideology tests.

I was one bar to your left. So not much difference in our "rightness." Surprisingly I was just below the y-axis, barely.

I thought at of the questions were dumb, e.g., how much do we like art? That doesn't show *****.

Ditto.  it felt more like a confirm your beliefs quiz.
That question I strongly agreed on as a good leftist would. Why is art left?  Iâ€m right and I like art.

These sorts of questions/point plots  really don't mean much. They're just kind of fun to do if you're bored.
I agree, but I would be interested in taking a more comprehensive test to see where I lie on the chart

True, which is why I said at the beginning I wasnâ€t a fan of the political compass. I also think some questions that determine the libertarian/authoritarian were likely the “morality” questions. I may think some things are immoral but I donâ€t think they should be legislated either, so I think those questions are misleading for any results you could find, which likely led to me being a lot less “libertarian” then I really am when it comes to government intervention.

It would be interesting to see where each of us is listed on the Myers-Briggs personality test.

Looks like I'm close to STX. Kind of about where I expected it to be.

As a person with a grad degree in History of Art, I can tell you that almost all of the artists and art historians I have met veer pretty substantially to the left. Most of my fellow architects do as well. And I'm like you, I really enjoy art, going to museums, art fairs, you name it. Although I haven't done much in the past 4 or 5 years, I have been collecting painting and drawings for a long time. I get a great deal of enjoyment out of having a close relationship to the creation and history of art. If I ever retire, that's the area where I would spend my free time, well, that and coaching lacrosse.

This was way better than all of the Cosmo surveys I've done.

Honestly though, like most of these tests... some of the questions were completely moronic. Quite a few I would like an option of neutral or don't care. It was obvious on almost every question how to skew the results if you/I wanted to. I tried to do it as best as possible, I just don't like having to agree or disagree with a loaded/poorly written question.

Still fun to compare results though.
