Went to the Celtic Festival yesterday, good Irish bands. My buddy works for the beer distributor, so I got free beer. They were serving Boddngtonâ€s, which I thought was ironic for a Celtic festival.

Will be headed down the street to the Irish Festival in Dublin this weekend. Weather forecast isn't looking too promising as of now though.
Always enjoy the music and some Jameson.

Stop by the Irish Imports Tent , My buddy Falc and his mostly drunken buddies will be selling Shirts, Sweaters, Music just about anything Ireland or Irish. 

If you know the secret handshake they might provide a snort of Jamo for you from the hidden flask . Tell them Guido sent you. LOL

Fitz and i spent the weekend before together at a Blues Festival ( Sat) and Buddy Guy on Sunday , so i needed a break. I don't own a Irish Liver.

Was in Mammoth Cave, KY last weekend. Cave was cool, dry county-had to stock up in Bowling Green and at the Buffalo Trace distillery on the way down. Wasnâ€t planning on it, but had the most Kentucky meal ever-Mello Yello and white gravy!

Great trip, Mammoth Cave is just staggering in it's immensity. I love the part of the tour where they turn out the lights for about one minute. It's there where you learn about real darkness. Wow!

What the heck were cave slaves?  

Sounds like the title of a 1950s stag film.

Before Mammoth Cave became a national park in 1941, it was a privately owned tourist attraction. Pre Civil War, landowners in the area used slaves as tour guides/employees on their property. The ranger-who was obviously black-showed us where a guest wrote the name of one of his ancestors on the cave wall for him, b/c as a slave, he was illiterate. I just used the term “cave slave” b/c it is accurate and sounds funny.

Yesterday in the span of about 3 minutes I had a couple of interesting sightings. I was at work and my wife called and said she would meet me for lunch at the adjacent mall and to meet her at the restaurant. So, I walk over to the mall and about three steps ahead of me is an extremely attractive woman in about the shortest dress I've ever seen. And she goes to get on the escalator ahead of me. As I'm about to step onto the escalator I realized that if I looked forward I would have a unobstructed view up the woman's dress. Immediately thought, nope, no can do. So I stopped fast to step away from the escalator at just the point two older ladies were about to get onto the escalator behind me and ended up running into me. They were not happy as one about fell. I apologized (bu hao yi si) and just stood to the side and gave the young hot chick time to get off the escalator before I ascended. I know me, I've been me for a long time and I just know I would have been tempted.

So, about a minute later I do go up the escalator. And as I step off the escalator, what should appear to my wandering eyes, but a young albino Chinese woman. I don't think I've ever seen a pure albino before. Wow, her skin was pure white, as was her hair. It was like seeing a living ghost. Rather surreal. But has to be a challenge to go through life like that. So in a span of three minutes I had to avert my eyes a second time. Despite the temptation, it's not polite to stare.

Speaking of albinos, you've really never seen one CB? We had one in HS, I always felt bad because he was neglected and had to eat lunch by himself unless one of the girl tables invited him over. Looking back, I wish I would have gone and set at his empty table.
