What is the purpose/meaning of life?

Truth indeed. A relationship with God brings many blessings. Too many people think blessings are the avoidance of problems or free stuff, but real blessings are more about facing and handling adversity. I have come to recognize that has made the difference in my life.

God gave you life.  Why?  So that you would be his follower AND friend, but God is holy and doesn't permit evil people into his kingdom.  

Think of what brings you joy, happiness, and fulfillment and then thank God for all of it.  Stop being hostile and vindictive to others and instead bless them and make peace with them.  This is what God wants you to do.  

Sometimes, I feel poorly treated by others and my instinct is to tell them to GFY but then I sometimes remember to follow what Jesus said and behave accordingly.  It is actually liberating to let go of anger and malice.  

Jesus said, if you love me you will obey my commandments.  Again, look at your many blessings in life and ask yourself "Am I showing appreciation and gratitude to Jesus by how I conduct myself?".  And if you're not, why aren't you?  

It's hard.  UnGodly people have it easy in this life because they have no such restraints.  We are commanded to stay on the path prescribed by Christ.  

I will say this.  The closer that I have become to Christ over the past few years has resulted in me being more fulfilled, satisfied, and at peace than ever.  In fact, I dare say I've never been happier.  

Try it.  You'll be transformed.  And if not you can go **** your mother.

I believe that, in the end, Jesus will save Pitch and many other atheists.  

I envision Pitch leaving this world and finding himself in a glorious setting.  He may be alone and in awe and in question of his surroundings.  Then, he'll hear a voice from behind say "Hey dumb, dumb, guess who I am!" and Pitch will turn around and be floored as he  immediately recognizes Jesus and all will be well.  That is my solemn hope and prayer.  In fact, I plan on taking Pitch fishing when we get there.

To answer K9's question..... 

The primary meaning/purpose of life, at least from a biological/scientific perspective, is continuing your genes. If you look at your family tree, you'll see a long line of living things who were successful.  They managed to avoid becoming prey, themselves. They were successful in finding food to avoid starving to death. They were able to attract a mate, physically able to impregnate that mate and keep the offspring alive, presumably long enough for that offspring to continue the genes.
