Show me Biblical verses to support apostolic succession.  Either way, it's certainly ok with me if others believe in that concept.  It's certainly better than being a Satanist.   Big Grin
Anti-individualistic, the Fascist conception of life stresses the importance of the State and accepts the individual only in so far as his interests coincide with those of the State...

Well the Matthias story is 1st chapter of Acts.

The anointing of the sick reference was in James 2 or 5. I canâ€t remember.

Actually George, I often defend Catholics.  Some protestants believe that Catholics are going to Hell but I remind them that protestants and Catholics share the same CORE beliefs.

While I know for a fact that there are many, many, Godly Catholics in the Church, I do believe that it is a flawed system and does NOT represent the will of God.

With all that said, I presume that every denomination has its share of "hard chore" followers.
Is this the bible that has fewer books than a Protestant bible and that a committee decided which books to use, centuries after the Death of Jesus? We just recently had a thread on how non-Catholics misunderstand the concept of Papal Infallibility. (Most Catholics too) Catholic dogma DOES NOT SAY that everything the Pope thinks, says or Poops is the direct Word of God.

I view the Pope with the same regard as the pastor at the local Baptist church in my small town.
