Trump is out on the ocean with only a paddle boat.
He could have just said "so sad this is happening to the cathedral" and he'd gotten hammered for it some way.
I love his tweets.  He's not political (something that won him this election) and says dumb things that each of us would have said in a tweet.
He sticks his middle finger up at the left every time he pushes the enter button on the computer and I love it.

Every time? Not exactly, he didn't here, but he does use twitter to tweak the left on a regular basis.

Yeah, this tweet was 'not smart', but the guy has to speak on everything it seems.

Had Trump merely said how sad and tragic it was to see the Cathedral burn he'd have caught hell anyway.

Trump said "perhaps" that could be done.  It was a spur of the moment comment and hardly saying it was something that should be done.

Trump likes to speak and tweet off the cuff.  In a way it's also refreshing.   Obama wouldn't dare utter a word without convening his national security council along with his press advisers to gauge how his potential comment might impact the political climate.  Lol.

But a political message gets lost in "the firefighters should have dropped water from a plane" and "stormy daniels is a horseface" and "Mika has had another facelift" and whatever other nonsense he spouts.
