David Hannon, 67, was arrested and pleaded guilty to one count of threatening a federal official with the intent to intimidate, impede, and retaliate against her.Â
According to Hannon's plea agreement, he sent the threats on July 16, 2019 following a press conference that Omar held addressing President Donald Trump's attacks on her. The plea agreement said that Hannon, a Trump supporter, was upset that Omar "repeated quotes containing curse words from then-president Trump regarding social issues involving women and minorities," leading him to send the threatening message. Hannon faces up to 10 years of prison time, a fine of $250,000, and up to 3 years of supervised release.
"ARE YOU READY TO DIE FOR ISLAM?" Hannon wrote in his threatening email. "ARE YOU READY TO DIE FOR ALLAH? ARE YOU READY TO GET OUT OF OUR COUNTRY! YOU WONT HEAR THE BULLET GOING THROUGH YOUR OR THEIR HEADS! ALL FOUR OF YOU CONGRESS WOMEN WILL DIE AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WILL CHEER! PATRIOTS AGAINST ISLAM! GOD BLESS AMERICA!"

Trump allies breach U.S. voting systems in search of 2020 fraud ‘evidenceâ€
Chasing proof of vote-rigging conspiracy theories, Republican officials and activists in eight U.S. locales have plotted to gain illegal access to balloting systems, undermining the security of elections they claim to protect.
Eighteen months after Donald Trump lost the White House, loyal supporters continue to falsely assert that compromised balloting machines across America robbed him of the 2020 election.
To stand up that bogus claim, some Trump die-hards are taking the law into their own hands – by attempting, with some success, to compromise the voting systems themselves.
Previously unreported surveillance video captured one such effort in August in the rural Colorado town of Kiowa. Footage obtained by Reuters through a public-records request shows Elbert County Clerk Dallas Schroeder, the county†s top election official, fiddling with cables and typing on his phone as he copied computer drives containing sensitive voting information.
Schroeder, a Republican, later testified that he was receiving instructions on how to copy the system†s data from a retired Air Force colonel and political activist bent on proving Trump lost because of fraud.
That day, Aug. 26, Schroeder made a “forensic image of everything on the election server,†according to his testimony, and later gave the cloned hard drives to two lawyers.
Schroeder is now under investigation for possible violation of election laws by the Colorado secretary of state, which has also sued him seeking the return of the data. Schroeder is defying that state demand and has refused to identify one of the lawyers who took possession of the hard drives. The other is a private attorney who works with an activist backed by Mike Lindell, the pillow mogul and election conspiracy theorist.

Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert Almost Came to Blows Over White Nationalist Event: Report
The conspiracy theorists had to be separated at a House Freedom Caucus event in February, according to Politico
The House Freedom Caucus — the far-right group of conspiracy theorists with members like Reps. Jim Jordan, Paul Gosar, and Madison Cawthorn — have long been warring with the rest of the Republican Party, which they feel isn†t sufficiently dedicated to former President Trump and his vision for a MAGA-fied America.
The caucus has apparently been warring with itself, too, according to a new report from Politico.
Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert reportedly almost came to blows over Greene†s appearance at a white nationalist event in February, to the point that someone had to step in between them to de-escalate the confrontation. Three people close to the Freedom Caucus confirmed the spat to Politico, which took place during a meeting of the caucus†board of directors.
Greene and Boebert, two of the most virulent conspiracy theorists in Congress, seem like they†d be the best of friends. They trade in the same kinds of bigotry; whine over the same culture war issues animating Trump†s base, and even heckled President Biden together during the State of the Union address last month.
This doesn†t seem to be the case. Politico notes that Boebert “detests†being tied to Greene, and that she was none too pleased with Greene†s decision to give a speech at a white nationalist conference organized by Nick Fuentes during which speakers pushed the “great replacement†theory, called for Dr. Anthony Fauci to be hanged, called for the audience to cheer Vladimir Putin, and gave winking nods to Hitler. Greene†s presence was controversial enough that she attempted to distance herself from Fuentes, claiming she doesn†t know him and thus she “is not aligned with anything that may be controversial.â€
One would think, however, that a lawmaker, or at least a lawmaker†s staff, would be aware that they are appearing on the bill of a white nationalist event.
The rift inside the Freedom Caucus extends beyond Greene and Boebert, according to Politico, as the group, which was formed before Trump took office, has transformed into hotbed of conspiracy theory that is no longer too concerned with actual policy. “We were not designed to be just obstructionists,†Mick Mulvaney, one of the groups founding members who went on to serve in Trump†s White House and is now a contributor to CBS News, told the outlet. “We were not designed to be an extreme outrage machine.â€
Some of the group†s members still believe this, apparently, and members have differed on everything from the party†s floor strategy in 2021 to how to respond to leaked tapes that reveal House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy criticized Trump after the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. One thing that isn†t up for debate is that regardless of how it was designed, the Freedom Caucus, if not the entire Republican Party, is now operating primarily as an outrage machine — and both Greene and Boebert are to blame as much as anyone.

Florida GOP official claims DUI investigation is a 'witch hunt' after crashing head-on into tree
The Manatee County Sheriffâ€s Office has released body cam footage that documents a deputy declaring a Republican Florida politician was intoxicated after crashing his truck.
"Video and audio footage show Manatee County Commissioner George Kruse slur his words and struggle to answer questions in a recorded 911 call and deputyâ€s bodycam footage that captured the moments immediately after his alleged DUI crash," the Bradenton Herald reported Thursday. "The commissioner has not been arrested in connection with the crash, and denies he was drinking."
..........................
Kruse told the Business Observer that the investigation was "entirely political."
"It's just a witch hunt. There was no alcohol, there were no drugs involved. My citation does not check that box," he claimed.
The Bradenton Herald reported there are inconsistencies in how Kruse explained the crash. "During an interview with the sheriffâ€s office, Kruse said that he 'cut a curb' when another driver sped past him, but investigators found that he told his insurance company that he swerved to avoid a small animal," the newspaper explained.
The body cam footage shows the initial deputy on the scene discussing the situation with Jessica Kruse.
"You understand your husband could go to jail for intoxicated driving," he said. "So you need to just talk to him about that. He's obviously impaired. It's obvious. This kind of crush depth for this kind of crash, he was not doing the speed limit this road requires."

Andrew Wilhoite, 40, of Lebanon, Indiana, received 60 of the 276 total votes for Republicans for three positions on the Clinton Township Board, Boone County election results have shown.
Wilhoite has been charged in the death of his wife, 41-year-old Elizabeth "Nikki" Wilhoite, according to an Associated Press report.
Wilhoite's next court hearing is scheduled for May 27, according to an Indianapolis Starreport. His jury trial is scheduled for August 29.
The co-director of the Indiana Election Division, Brad King, explained why Wilhoite is still allowed to run.
"Under our legal system, every person is innocent until proven guilty," he said.

Amash is a butthurt a$$ ‘cause daddyâ€s business got hurt via Trumpâ€s trade policy.  People that can read English donâ€t assume Trump is referring to a military strike plus they know what possibly means.  Good grief Justin, get a grip

Itâ€s former Defense secretary Mark Esperâ€s turn to make some money by withholding scandalous information about Donald Trump only to release it in book form. In his forthcoming memoir of his time in the White House, Esper claims that Trump asked him if the U.S. could “shoot missiles into Mexico to destroy the drug labs,†then lie to its ally by pretending his administration was not behind the extrajudicial attack.
“They donâ€t have control of their own country,†Esper recalls Trump saying, according to a copy of the book obtained by the New York Times. When Esper pushed back, he says the president reiterated that “we could just shoot some Patriot missiles and take out the labs, quietly.†(Aside from the fact that Patriot missiles have 200-pound warheads and are hardly quiet, they are anti-air ballistics used on planes, not ground targets.) “No one would know it was us,†Trump added, according to Esper.

lol... he asked about firing missiles into a sovereign country and the lying about it... and his kid's like "ok. And what's wrong with that?"
They're both a few nuggets short of a happy meal.
