I'm all for it, the guy wanted to he the dest QB to ever play and he only has 1 season left. If Tampa makes the right moves they could be right there for another title run.

One bad mishap can totally screw your retirement life as far a physical. Busted knee/ankle. They have over 250 million in the bank . Why risk it.

With modern medicine he would be fine unless it was something truly tragic, otherwise just 1-2 years of rehab at the most.

I love watching him play so why not

My feet are a mess, gonna need ankle debridement surgery on both ankles....all because I wanted to play basketball everyday.   Outside on blacktop or inside on wood floor I beat my feet to death.  Had plantar fasciitis surgery on left one.   Now, I'm NOT TOM BRADY...but close.   He should stop.[Image: giphy.gif]

You also don't have the best surgeons on planet earth and unlimited money for rehab.

The wife's already tired of him I guess.

I don't think it will end well. Once you start flirting with retirement, you are already gone.

He is in great shape for his age but you could see a noticeable decline in his skills last year I thought.  It isn't going to get any better.  I don't think he is even among the top quarterbacks in the league now with all of these young guys.

Didn't he still lead the league in most of the major categories?

That playoff game they lost to the Rams was weird.  They just looked completely flat.  Then the Rams realized they were playing Brady and started pizzing down their legs, and the Bucs *somehow* could have won that game at the end.

IMO I think Brady saw/felt the same performance.  A guy wants to go out swinging.  Win or lose, that team performance wasn't a great way to end it.

He is still successful because he is so smart and knows everything going on, on the field.  But he can't make the passes he did a few years ago.  Declines like this happen slowly but the difference between the very best quarterbacks and guys we consider average is not all that much.  I look at some of these young guys and their arms and they can do things Brady just can't do now.

In fairness Brady could never do what Allen and Mahomes can do with their arms, but neither can burrow as he isn't a strong armed guy either.

I have one word for you: Exoskeleton

I was at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston with a client a few years ago, some of the research they are doing is mind-blowing. With the coming of Regenerative Medicine and Robotics, as long as your innards work, I think you could be mobile until your 120.
