Will faithful Christians experience the nightmare of the world's final moments? - K9Buck - 11-30-2021

It's my understanding that faithful Christians will be spared that experience, but as a former Catholic, I'm not well versed on the topic.

We know this…
“But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”
‭‭I Thessalonians‬ ‭4:13-17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The question is…when? Pre tribulation? Mid? Post?
I tell people I’m not a Pre Trib believer because the Early church was Martyred the Jewish people endured the Holocaust etc, so why should we get a get out of jail free card? Our faith has not been tested
I hope the Pre trib people are right tho.

I hope 'pre-Trib' people are right....but that is a concept that is relatively new in the church, say 140 years, and the general idea is that there is a period of persecution that Christians very well may have to endure.

I've generally stayed away from the area of eschatology because there are about as many viewpoints interpreting Daniel/Ezekiel/Revelation/gospels as there are 'experts'. Bottom line of Revelation? There is an end of this world coming, wickedness will be judged, Jesus is the victor, those who are in Christ will be with him eternally.
