They'll be lucky to post 65 wins this season.

Because we might not play enough games to win that many? I think he was just being a smart arse. Â

Didn't the Astros hire Dusty Baker for this season? Was on the phone last night with Al Oliver who played about 18 years for Pirates, and Rangers and Expos and he's a good friend of Baker. He said he was on the phone yesterday with Baker also. I said Al, did you know that guy is a renaissance man? He's into music, fly fishing, art, haute cuisine, ? He makes guys like you and me look like cavemen. He had no clue.  I forgot to ask Al if Baker is Astros manager but I think he is.  OBTW, Gene Tenace is local guy like Al, too. Gene is from Lucasville.

I remember when Oliver coached Shawnee State's baseball team. Dude could flat out hit.

I believe the Civil War was the greatest, most costly crisis in our nation's history.  When it's all said and done and, when including the economic costs, this crisis may come in second.

The Vietnam War was America's biggest foreign-policy mistake in probably the history of the nation. However, it was spread over many years and we didn't shut down the nation. |
