There has been talk about this, and I've watched some games where what look like long fly balls make the stands.

Hard to tell without doing measurements.

Of course it is juiced. The game became very boring so the league took action to liven it up. Of course they can't admit it.

If MLB has changed the materials and manufacturing process to produce baseballs that are more aerodynamic, it might also explain the increase in number of 100 mph pitches thrown.

In 2008, there were only 196 triple-digit heaters thrown over the course of a full season. But for each of the last four years [2015-2018], we've seen over 1,000 pitches thrown over 100 mph. 18 pitchers managed it in 2008, and this year [2018], 28 have accomplished it... there was a very odd spike in 2015 when that number reached 47 pitchers.
