With Trump probably appointing a 3rd justice to SCOTUS the left now wants justices limited to 18 years. Odd, not federal judges.

I can agree with this I think. I also think lobbyist would be a problem if term limits were in place.
I haven't had time to think of pros and cons of this but I wish term limits were on all elected / appointed offices.

Personally I think Justices need to retire at a certain age, like maybe 75ish. RGB and others were around too long. That said, I think House Repâ€s and Senators need term limits too. Senators are supposed to be the older “wise ones†so maybe 3-4 terms, keeping in mind a term is 6 years. If they are elected at age 50, 4 terms would take them to age 74. Some are sharp as a tack at that age but too many are not.

Term limits and mandatory retirements isn't going to fix what is wrong with the Supreme Court. The real problem is the Court has way too much unaccountable power and authority and that is what really needs to be addressed.
