To call this an "outline" is being rather generous.  It's nothing more than a statement of goals.  As much as I was prepared to have some fun at this notion, this isn't even fun at all.  It's not even burfle.

Arizona passed a "Stupid Motorist Law" several years ago.  It was made to require idiots like this to pay for the cost of being rescued.  The last I heard they have never enforced it on anyone.  To be fair, I don't know if these women drove past signs or road blocks, but common sense should tell you better.  That water was raging pretty good.

So at 10 PM, it's 15 degrees, heavy snow and sleet mix and lightening. We don't really see many thunderstorms in the winter around here. I had planned to just hang around the house tomorrow since the roads are supposed to be pretty nasty but school has been canceled, which means I'll need to be at my daughters by 8 AM to watch the kids.

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Mississippi lawmakers have killed bills that would remove the Confederate battle emblem from the last state flag in the U.S. to display it.

But they're also rejecting measures that would require universities opposed to the emblem to fly the banner.
The emblem has appeared on the Mississippi state flag since 1894. Critics say it's racist; those who oppose removing it say it's a historic symbol.

All eight Mississippi public universities and several cities and counties have stopped flying the flag. Many removed it after June 2015, when a white supremacist killed nine black worshipers in a South Carolina church.

Mississippi House Rules Committee Chairman Jason White says there's no consensus to either change or further protect the flag.

More than a dozen flag bills died because they weren’t considered before a Tuesday deadline.

Police had combed thru hundreds of hours of video and hadn't seen any evidence.  Did see 2 men, but not on same side of street.......

Man indicted for hate crime and murder in grisly New York hammer attack


A New York man was indicted Friday on murder and hate crime charges for allegedly using a hammer to kill three employees at a Chinese restaurant, officials said.

Arthur Martunovich, 34, told police he targeted Asian men in the brutal Jan. 15 attack at the Seaport Buffet restaurant in Brooklyn, believing his rampage would somehow protect Asian women from abuse, authorities said.

The suspect gained that twisted view of Asian men and women after watching movies, law enforcement sources told NBC New York.
Martunovich, who's white and lived near the Sheepshead Bay restaurant, was arraigned Friday on a 21-count indictment,which included three counts of first-degree murder, six counts of second-degree murder as a hate crime and six counts of second-degree murder, prosecutors said.
When Martunovich arrived at the restaurant, he told a Latino worker he was safe before attacking his Asian victims with a hammer, prosecutors said.
