What an awful story.  We need to let some school officials have guns on them.  That would help to deter and mitigate such a slaughter.

GOOD GOD that is surreal .....absolutely gut wrenching horrible nightmare.

Is the kid a tranny?  If so are we to continue to hear from left these people are normal like men who get pregnant.
Not a nazi, not a conservative, but he was a fruitloop lefty.

Another psychological nutcase. 100 bucks sez only Fox will report the tranny pic.
Fox reporting 18 children dead.
Time to put cops in schools. I know the lunatic left teachers will hate it but screw them.

I don’t know of any teacher that opposes such a thing. We have two officers on campus. Both are SWAT and one is former special forces.

Competent school employees should be given the option to conceal carry.  Incredibly, the left insists on keeping schools soft targets.

A soft target isn't even the right description, more like defenseless hunting grounds.

These sickos always find a way to hurt innocent people.

Biden addressing the country live right now and within a couple of minutes blames the Texas shooting on the "gun lobby".

Im against this because of just that conceal carry. Any Jackass can get a CCL. What is it 6-8 hours? That’s nowhere near enough training. If that’s the situation, teachers and students would be between a nut job with a gun and an active shooter.

If you want teachers with guns…96 hour training. 6 months of psychological testing. (All paid of course). They need to go through police academy type training.

You guys have zero respect for the profession and in these times you want them armed. It’s a paradox.

Governor Abbott has that control to do so. I live in heavy liberal Minnesota and there is 1 cop at the high school all the time. Of course he/she arrives when kids are entering school which I do not know if there was a cop there previously.

Also all doors are locked from outside. To enter you have to stand in front of door/window and press the buzzer and a woman 30 feet from entry is looking at you with camera's in front and behind you and asks what your business is.

It is certainly not bullet proof but sounds much better than this guy just walking in and gunning children down.

People being able to just walk into schools at any time unimpeded appears to be the biggest problem.

At the local elementary, they have essentially an airlock system…no entrance without direct acknowledgement
