Since it was Keith Ellison's district too I think there is likely a decent sized Muslim presence there.  Obviously very liberal regardless.

There is a significant Somali population in her district-something like 50,000. Not enough to throw an election-but Minnesota has always been known for electing bubble-head liberals-Mondale,Franken,Wellstone-this time they got something more sinister.

There are 85,000 or so in the state and I'm sure there is a feeling among the OTHER voters that his Omar lady is fine.  This state did after all elect Al Franken to the senate.
