Making America Great Again

Total revenues dropped?  Or just corporate?  Either way, we have a massive spending problem that the media flat out refuses to report to the public.  This is why they are commonly referred to as fake news. There are two sides to this coin.  REPORT IT!   Angry

I will save that argument for another day but it isn't true at all.  There is actually substantial damage both long and short term and legalization would increase usage drastically.

Alcohol is FAAAAAAARRRRRRR worse, and it's legal.  I have yet to see weed start anything resembling a bar brawl.

Nope.  Not even remotely as damaging.

What drug is more likely to be a cause for someone to assault another person?  Kill people on the highway, etc...  It's a no-brainer.   Alcohol is far worse on that front.

Nope. The vast majority of alcohol is consumed responsibly with no problems at all.

BS.  The fact that R's are too chickenshit to do it, doesn't mean it can't be done.

Even with control of Congress and the White House they could not have done it because they would have needed 60 Senate votes to fix entitlements.  They will never have 60 votes and will soon permanently lose control of the Senate period and the White House.  Keep voting for Gary Johnson and similar Losertarians and see how that works for you.

And how many times have Republicans put out a budget, with spending cuts, and given Democrats the opportunity to vote against it?

Reagan used to do it every year.  Once again, most federal spending now cannot be touched in the annual budget process.  It is automatic.  Why people can't remember that is hard to understand.

So, Republicans voted, pointlessly, about 15 times to "repeal" Obamacare.  When is the last time Republicans did ANYTHING to cut spending and put it on Democrats to say "no"?

That was answered.  Bottom line is you can vote for a party that keeps the status quo or you can vote for a party that wants new programs that will triple or quadruple the current levels of deficits while raising your taxes and banning your guns.

Alright HT, not sure if you were trying to be funny there on the alcohol thing or if you're actually being serious.   I would love to see a side by side comparison of assaults and highway deaths caused by weed in comparison to alcohol.   Common sense says alcohol is far more dangerous.  I mean it can't even be close.

Alcohol by far is more dangerous than weed.  Please..... How many AA clinics are there?  How many clinics are there for weed smokers?  Hell, it's not even addictive like Alcohol.

Alcohol use is obviously much more prevalent.  And no one keeps track of how many accidents stoners cause.  Never forget what the people who want to enslave us support and are on the way to completing:

Hey, it's big, it's getting bigger, that has always happened, they think.  Meanwhile, I'm taking the family on an expensive cruise and putting it my Mastercard, on which I already owe $10,000, because I can.

Who among us favors PAIN NOW versus much more pain off in the indefinite future?

Who among us is willing to control our diets and get sufficient exercise, we're only 10 pounds over weight, OK, 20, well, 30 really.

This is an problem that is intrinsic with our system of government, one the FFs anticipated and tried to guard against.

People tight their belts on family budgets, Lose weight, and get in better shape all the time, Hell i quit smoking a year ago after 30+ years gained 20lbs and now exercising to lose that weight and getting in better shape.

It just takes restrained and some discipline . It Happens

Not gonna argue your point about the 4 D's.  I just think alcohol is a more dangerous drug than weed, and if we legalized weed tomorrow nothing noticeably awful would be the result of doing so.

From OP cite.

Revenue dropped, to be clear.  Overall revenue.  Right here.

You are right.  Nothing would happen immediately.  The damage is not immediate.
