Named Trevon Pendleton? Played about 4-5 years ago at Michigan State. I'll never forget his brother in the gym telling us he was going to rock OSU in the Big Ten because they turned him down. I never thought he'd play D I. BOY was I wrong.

One of the great HS Football Stadiums in Ohio , They used to have a Civil War cannon in the End Zone they would fire
like the Blue Jackets do now when they score.
Portsmouth High school now has the best stadium in this part of the state.

For approaching 94 the improvements has Tank Memorial looking good.
I would imagine both Portsmouth and Ironton's Stadiums hosted some of the 1st Professional Football Teams ever assembled.
Tons of History with both of them.
This is true.  Spartan Stadium is now used by Notre Dame HS exclusively.  Portsmouth HS built the new stadium they use about 10 years ago.Â
I was not inferring Ironton did not have a good place to play. They do.  The pro teams were the Ironton Tanks and the Portsmouth Spartans.  Spartans went on to become the Detroit Lions.  Jim Thorpe moved here and played iirc in the 1930s and coached the Spartans as well.
