Texas? Pretty sure Texas state flag is the one from the Republic.

At any rate, the other flags I mentioned obviously are. 

The old MS flag was a combo of the two.

Itâ€s a technicality, but the Confederacy did fire the first shots, Well at least South Carolina did. 

While true, I don't believe it was the intention of the Confederacy, at large, to start a war. Lincoln had many other choices in regards to how to respond to Fort Sumpter than what he did. I'm not necessarily even blaming Lincoln, or judging his actions as wrong. Wanting to maintain the Union is somewhat of an admirable goal. However, killing 500K people and razing cities to do it is certainly a heavy price to pay. He was the catalyst for making the Presidency as powerful as it is, today, which, IMO, is a negative legacy people don't even talk about in regards to Lincoln.

If they wait a little longer, cancel culture will expel those states from the union for having ties to the old Confederacy.

Why would we/anyone want a flag of rebellion against the USA flown over state houses and in colleges that are within the USA?

Why would loyal, patriotic Americans in Mississippi want to fly a flag that tried to destroy America?

Trump supporters are proud of their Jan 6 rebellion

Texas has changed their flag at least a million times over the years.

Used to be a white star on a blue field.
