Another example of why all police should have body cameras all the time...

First, the officer hits a handcuffed, compliant suspect for no reason.  The suspect tells officers that the hit was caught on video recording inside the house, so the cops go BACK into the house and steal the video equipment to cover-up the crime.

How do you know there was no reason he hit him?  Maybe he spit at him or said something vulgar, not that that is a good reason but it is a reason. Plus that barely qualified as a punch. More like a love tap.

Absolutely no reason to hit a dude in bracelets. That cop should be fired, his pension given to the dude in bracelets. It's the same for any cop who gangs up on top of a dude and yells "stop resisting" 100% of all my LE friends told me they are instructed to yell this even if the dude is out cold and lying handcuffed.

I don't think the issue is widespread as p!tch tries to make everybody believe, but any incident proven the cop should lose his job, pension, his own bank account in lawsuit, and any chance to ever own a gun or work in any capacity in LE. Only then will the burfle slow down to a crawl.

I've actually never commented on how widespread bad police behavior is. I don't think it's a coincidence that the availability of video recording devices, particularly portable, is slowly exposing a culture of abuse of varying levels.  Do all cops physically abuse suspects?  Absolutely not.  Are there a LOT more cops that get away with illegal stops because it's a citizens word against a cops word, and cops are given the benefit of the doubt 99% of the time?  Absolutely.  Do cops know how to work the system to protect themselves, even when they do something wrong?  Absolutely.  I've seen multiple videos where, as you said, cops had a guy pinned down and cuffed and they're still yelling "stop resisting" because they want to dole out a little street justice and blame the injuries on "trying" to restrain him.

The sooner all officers have body cams, the better off we'll all be.

All true.  Iâ€m messing with Pitch here more than anything else although that “left hook” didnâ€t really amount to something egregious. Iâ€ve walked into doors that hurt more than that. So punish that cop to the degree of his crime.

(Not a crime in this particular area) and had a falsified report filed against me that cost me several court dates and a significant $$. That was only about 6 years ago. And I was polite as hell. Some cops are just dickheads, we all know that. 
But to go on a rampage against cops for profiling when the cop didnâ€t ticket or anything?  Good grief, someone needs to grow a pair.

no.. I promise they are... they're illegal across the united states, but both continue to happen.  the end result is people who are doing nothing wrong are being punished by the government.

That is always the stoner/libertarian talking point.  If we legalize drugs and prostitution in areas like Baltimore, Memphis, Detroit, etc, the people there will suddenly become responsible hard working citizens and crime will disappear.

Crime will disappear because we've decriminalized it......but I don't know how that makes things better. It just makes things "anarchous", yes I just made up a word. Everyone doing what is right in their own eyes.

In my mind that is chaos and a society I don't want to live in, but maybe my perspective is wrong.

Baltimore's issues are more complicated than drugs and sex.  Drugs and prostitution have existed and will exist indefinitely. We can either continue to waste money on faux wars, continue to punish people who are doing nothing wrong or do what is right and change the laws.

Drugs and prostitution are just characteristics and by products of the people there.  Legalizing them won't do anything positive but will encourage those activities and increase crime in lower crime areas.
