The Tweets that are in this article are telling.
In person attendance is way down. And, from what Iâ€ve been reading, TV ratings are in the tank.

The kneeling to the National Anthem didn't help.  I also think there are too many penalties and the big hits are taken out of the league.

I used to be a huge Browns fan that never missed a game. Once they benched Hoyer for Johnny Football, I decided to take a break for a while. After that experiment ended, they only won one game over a two year span, while the whole Colon Krapperdick thing was going on, and the NFL essentially turned into a game of two hand touch, so I didn't have much of a reason to come back. Last year I tried to get back into it a little bit, but frankly I got used to having my autumn Sundays free to do other things. I think at this point it would take a playoff appearance to perk my interest. It's Buckeyes on Saturday, and enjoying what's left of the decent weather on Sunday for me.

I've been cool on the NFL for ages now.  That said I will catch a game here or there, but I usually don't schedule my Sundays around games or anything like I do on Saturdays.

Flashing back to Kaperdouche.  Remember the media trying to make Trump out as the bad guy?  Lmao.  Another face plant by the MSM

I see a tempering of Lamar Jackson's trajectory in the coming years as well.  Not to this level, but the NFL film rooms will soon catch up.  Happens all the time with these guys that burst onto the scene.

When NFL teams are good, itâ€s football at itâ€s highest level. When teams play like crap-we can do w/out. For all the wailing about the kneeling issue-and I was actually proud to be a Bengals fan b/c no players knelt-I have yet to see any verified stories about fans boycotting playoff games or teams having a really good season. The NFL has just entered the pantheon of things old people who watch FOX News all day like to bitch about, imo.

We will all be dead soon enough, maybe not fast enough for your liking though.

Your analysis is somewhat short sighted though. It was a huge combination of yes pissing off their most loyal fan base who built their ratings for the last 30 years us Old White dudes , and the many ridiculous rule changes starting with drowning every game with a series of Instant Replays, Stupid Rule Changes especially those putting Dresses on QB's, and Particularly having Officials who are out of touch with how and when a penalty should be called to the point of being incompetent , Terrible QB play throughout the League ,  The NFL's own Parity design, Which leads to many mediocre games, The saturation of NFL games on 3 days a week and Saturday games at the end of the Season, Plus many broadcasts have horrible announcers in the booth including the Monday Night team. Which is on ESPN now not regular Network TV  and which has been losing TV boxes for the last several years.

So, you know the OP is Old?  Guy could be younger than you.   Also, how is old people only attached to FOX News?   What news is geared for the young?  Here is the lineup hosting FOX and looks fairly young to me.
