Vet lady said they will not let someone adopt it that will have it removed. They said the "tail" was not hurting the dog in any way.

I remember when I was a kid my family went camping in Acadia National Park, in Bar Harbor, Maine. One afternoon we visited some kind of federal medical research institute where they actually grew mice with limbs growing out their heads and sides, and other manifestations of freakishness-bald, ultra-wrinkly skin,etc,etc. This dog would have fit right in.

Cute pup. And I agree, no sense in removing it unless it becomes some sort of health risk  in the future. The pup thinks he's perfectly normal.
