Case in point. Reverse the situation and have the dude who slammed her walk into a restaurant in a predominantly white neighborhood. He starts an argument with the all white staff. He calls them a racial slur. They follow him outside and one of the staff slams him. He's a dumbass but nobody has the right to touch him.
This is true in a criminal sense. Meaning the guy will probably do some time, but if this ends up a civil matter between the lady and Popeyes?  I'm just a person that believes if you swat at a hornet's nest, or if you're a half naked woman strutting through a prison yard and something bad happens? Sorry but... Â
Anyway, it wasn't Popeyes management that body slammed her. I don't reward her a penny if I'm afforded the discretion.

Yes, as I said, criminal case closed. Not sure how the civil case should involve Popeyes as you note that he left the store (the body slamming is all on him), but I'm sure they will still settle. Lawyers being lawyers and all. Â
I hate it when companies get shaken down for the actions of others. It's surely not Popeyes policy to beat the hell out of customers that call you names. etc...  Anyway, yeah, the racist hag will likely get paid. What a country. She shouldn't, but she probably will.
