Surely there will be a recount...
I really donâ€t get the libertarian types here.  It would be one thing if Bevin was a stuffed shirt member of Mitchâ€s Bryl Creme Brigade, but Bevin was mostly one of them.  Bravo you dumb asses, bravo.
Libertarians are nothing more than democrats in sheep clothing. If the Ross Perot voters didn't show the world anything; nothing will.
They talk a good game but always siphon enough votes from the Rep. Always.
It's ok, they are for smaller government...Â

I rarely post, but to me this is the real divide in America. Â More than Pub/Dem, rich/poor, educated/non. Â
Many of those overlap, but look at any election map and rural/urban is the best predictor.

Those 25,000 "Libertarian" votes are a split between liberals who are self-aware enough to understand their party is off the rails so they throw a bone to a 3rd party AND the Pitch-type clowns who think they're giving a finger to the establishment.
At least the KY House and Senate (and new AG) are in Republican hands. The new Gov won't be able to get a damn thing done
I was never about giving anyone the finger. It's about not being a robot that just blindly fills in the line next to a candidate because of the letter next to their name, especially considering the last two "options" Republican voters have been offered are Romney and Trump.

Bevin was indeed a libertarian leaning GOPer. The problem is that the holler dwellers in Eastern Kentucky donâ€t want see anyone messing with their government checks/pensions-and Bevinâ€s health care/ education pension reforms were highly unpopular. Anyone who relies on government checks in the extreme will not like libertarian candidates. Why do you think Trump hasnâ€t done jack squat about fiscal reforms-he doesnâ€t care, and knows the pumpers/blue collar voters would turn on him in a heartbeat if he tried to do something. Populists LOVE big government if they perceive it as giving them something they want.

We need to reach a pivot point where we can begin to turn back to our libertarian roots. Took us 100 or so years to get where we are, might take at least half that to really start moving back in that (libertarianish) direction in a serious way. I guess it will take the populist types getting hurt by big gov to ignite the fire. I think a very early sign of that actually happening was Obama's war on coal. WV flipped to Red over night. When people reeeeeeally see and feeeeel the negative effects of fed govt obtrusion is when you'll see real movement. Hopefully this takes place before the national debt come crashing down on all of our heads.

Hearing 175k voters were added to the voter rolls via a leftist judge, and just before the election.

Push back from the GOP? The Reps in KY told the dude either put up the evidence or concede. Compare that to the left when they circle the wagon and find boxes of ballots in the trunk of a POV in the back of the building.

This type of dirty cheating is a harbinger for the next election and I'm glad Bevin is rooting this out. When you only lose by 5 K votes and this information is present.....makes you go HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

The first signs that the left feel entitled to power was when dubya won in 2000. I remember this broad in Florida bragging how if she had to she would vote like 100 times herself. This was some election official. She was that brazen about it. Yet the GOP still hasn't figured out that those people will do anything to gain power. If nothing else this needs looked into for the sake of the votes of people from Kentucky and my future vote as well. Â
