Dancing
#1
I imagine this will be a short-lived thread. Does anybody here like to boogie on down? Maybe it takes the appropriate level of inebriation to get you going. Iâ€m talking about any kind of dancing. For me give me that Old Time Rockn Roll and this cat will cut loose, Footloose.  As Billy Preston would say, gotta let the music move me around, and that pop stuff, disco, current music, etc  just plants my arse in a chair.
But I would like to learn Swing, if I had somebody to learn it with. Tango would be fun too.

I learned to dance because my career depended on it. Many Generals daughters/nieces had to have escorts to the balls/ceremonies/parties. I always was picked to be the partner. Always. To be fair, some were attractive and fun. In the end my promotion paperwork always seemed to make it to the top of the pile. We called it 'taking one for the stripe/rocker'. It got worse when I became a Warrant Officer. That's when the Officers would get pissed. I was stealing their thunder.

I'm sure TT was great on the dance floor doing the Lindy.
The America, and the American Military, that you once knew is gone.

Well yeah. I love dancing with the ladies. Who doesn't? Come on now.

Not any good at it, as in I don't have any formal training, but I find that as long as you can "keep the beat with your feet" you can generally get by.

Yup, thatâ€s the probably the best key.
I think most guys are too self conscious to “dance with the ladies”.  Shame really, especially if you are single and out trolling. Gals love to dance.

Oh yeah. While I'm sure they love a good male dancer, most just like it when you are willing to put forth the effort and let loose. Damn near guaranteed to get laid, and even if you don't, you get to see a bunch of chicks that are dressed to impress, doing sexy things. You are screwing yourself out of a pretty good time if you don't get out and dance with the ladies from time to time.

Just get out there and keep reminding yourself to "keep the beat with your feet." The rest just sorta falls into place.

He asked if you like to dance. Not if you will dance to get laid. I'll smile and nod while some woman talks about astrology and "dance" if need be to whatever crappy music they're listening to as well. Do I "like" that? No. A man's gotta do whatta man's gotta do. I will try to avoid those situations whenever possible though. The best thing to do IMO is let them go out and drink and dance with gay dudes. They like the same crap women do. Wait for them to come home tipsy and horny.

Well I don't "like" to dance as in i sit at home and do it by myself. That would be pretty gay. But I like to dance with the ladies. I didn't think that I would, but once I finally got past all of the butterflies and let loose I was like "man, I really should have started doing this a long time ago." I guess I just like to have a good time with gals that are ready to get a little freaky.

It is tailor made for guys that aren't smooth talkers. You don't have to say much because of the loud music, you get to break multiple intimacy barriers right off the bat, and by the end of the night it is as though you have already been on like ten dates.

That soul train video brings back great memories. And I learned a new move.

I did like watching the Soul Train girls dance. Cynthia Howard and Pat “Butterfly” Davis were my favorites. Pat Davis at the 2 minute mark of the first video btw.
