The word Halloween or Hallowe'en dates to about 1745[32] and is of Christian origin.[33] The word "Hallowe'en" means "Saints' evening".[34] It comes from a Scottish term for All Hallows' Eve (the evening before All Hallows' Day).[35] In Scots, the word "eve" is even, and this is contracted to e'en or een. Over time, (All) Hallow(s) E(v)en evolved into Hallowe'en. Although the phrase "All Hallows'" is found in Old English "All Hallows' Eve" is itself not seen until 1556.[35][36]

Here is a ***** Halloween story for you.
I get a call late last night from the management company that handles my condo building in Portland.
"Syncro, we've got a problem. The storage unit directly below your condo is dripping water from the ceiling...do you have a leak?" (I haven't been there in a month or so)
So, I'm headed to PDX now to see what kind of circus I get to deal with today, this one could get ugly.
Downtown Portland on Halloween is quite literally the LAST place in the world I want to be.

My friend had a Halloween party and for the centerpiece she made an edible cat litter box that looked eerily real. By the end of the party her brother-who is one of my best friends from tOSU, were totally schmammered and used the cat litter cake to start a massive food fight.

For anyone keeping score, my condo is good. No clue where the water is coming from but itâ€s someone elseâ€s problem for now.
Time to line up a hipster girl for some late entertainment.
