Oregon Ducks football thread and bowl thread
Well no ***** on the jammy turnovers, but who was the better team? Not the team with the most points, again!every single call went Oregonâ€s way. The last penalty with offensive pi or holding was
Complete bullshit.

I have no great love for WI but the ducks had no business winning that game. Decent D but dayumm they were dominated everywhere but the scoreboard.

I believe the scoreboard is still the final arbiter of who wins and who loses.

The Ducks definitely had some calls go their way. They also made their own luck winning some turnovers and scoring points off of them.

Turnovers are part of the game. Obviously.   That late offensive PI call was a joke though.

Yep, and it was a killer. Were these SEC refs again? That was bullshit

Oregon had no business winning that game. Maybe they should be called Clemson of the west.

You can just call us Oregon, although most of you guys have all sorts of cute nicknames for some reason.

That was one of the weakest OPI calls ever, I'm not disputing that. There were plenty of calls (or no calls) that went Wisconsins way as well. That's the game, it happens. Play through it.

This game was won by Herbert's legs rushing for 3 TD's AND Ducks making the most of every turnover they forced. The one handled fumble recovery and score by Breeze on the muffed punt was a hell of a play, even the most partisan Big 10 fan should be able to recognize that.

The Badger QB had a very weak game. If it weren't from Cephus making some grown man plays the Wiscy offense would've been almost nonexistent. Oregon DL did a hell of a job shutting down the RB Taylor. For all the talk about what a beast he was and how great the UW OL is, Oregon dominated that part of the game.

Saying something as stupid as "Oregon had no business winning that game" is either said by someone who didn't watch the game, or a Big 10 homer who just hates Oregon...or maybe both.

See you guys in Sept!

I think Wisconsin's running stats were skewed a little due to the holding calls.  On that note, I was sort of laughing when they were getting flagged for it.  I was like "...oh now you flag Wisconsin for holding, not during the B1G season, but now you finally get 'em..."

Game went pretty much as I predicted/expected.  Wiscy controlled the flow of the game and Oregon made the big plays and won a close one.  Wiscy is usually not that sloppy with the ball though.  That was weird to see.

Had the Ducks scored on that last drive I would've been exactly right with my prediction as well.

Oregon defense is far better than it was given credit for prior to the game, I think that's why Wiscy looked "sloppy".

Realistically, the Ducks could've beat any bowl team not named LSU/OSU/Clemson this year. While I'm still bummed about losing to ASU, I really believe not getting destroyed by LSU in Peach Bowl and winning the Rose Bowl was much better for building the program going forward.

I don't hate Oregon and I watched the whole game. You're only salty because you know you guys got very lucky Big Grin . Oregon played good D and I was surprised at their toughness. Obviously fumbles are part of the game and they earned them. That said, they had a lot of timely holding calls go there way and their offense was stuffed by the Vadgers. They never showed any replays of the holding calls so I can't say if they were right or wrong but they were killers for Wiscy. The OPI was complete bullshit and a dagger for Wisconsin.

I quoted dkeener67, not you.

How am I salty? I've admitted it looked like a questionable OPI call...that said, based on the letter of the rule, it was the correct call. There were several missed calls on Wiscy too, but you didn't see me crying about it. It happens, a team has to play through it.

Trust me, I know how much most all of you hate the Ducks and I'm fully aware of our historical record against the Buckeyes. None of that matters at this point. Sept 12, 2020 we'll see how well the Ducks square up against tOSU...

Why would we hate the ducks? Itâ€s not like they beat us in the national championship game or something. They are just another team out there as far as Iâ€m concerned. I have neutral feelings towards them.
Itâ€s pretty easy to say play through a bad call when youâ€re the beneficiary. And I would agree with that most of the time, but when that bad call occurs on your final possession and youâ€re down one point and youâ€re driving, then itâ€s an entirely different ball game. Wisconsin is not built for third and 20.
