If you read the link the Astros said he was insensitive to the female reporters due to the past history of Ozuna.  It's a locker room not a sanctuary.  In my mind I see this as Houston trying to dodge a PR mess and the women complaining.  That's my take.

If he's too stupid to know his audience, he should be fired.

Yes, he should. He's an exec for a pro sports team who is intentionally trolling women. He's a moron in most settings.

How do you know he hurt their widdle feelings?  It's a freaking locker room for men...can't ride with the big boys go grab a box of tissues and cover womens golf or some female event.  You REALLY think if a woman said this similar thing to men reporters in a female locker room she'd be fired?  Get a grip on how things are skewed.

What I know is that he said something without being aware of who's around and, when you're a high paid exec of a very public company, you should be smarter than that. Nobody forced him to say something stupid in public.

No one forced the Astros to cave to stupidity but they did.  SO?   He used the F word in a freaking locker room.  SO?   You saying a woman should be fired if she used the F bomb to a group of men saying similar things?

Do you think he was fired for saying "f**k"?

Does anyone else find it ironic Pitch is advocating for the GM's termination for the GM's words while he has a tag line speaking against censorship???

It's always obvious the people who have never been in a locker room when arguments like this are brought up. Hint... dumb ***** gets said, dumb ***** happens... especially after a big win or an awful loss. It even happens after a practice at times.

Totally agree. He did not just say it once. He shouted it four or five times directly at the female reporters. He was looking to make some kind of point. He got himself fired. Boo hoo.
