Final was 8-1 Astros with Bregman blasting a GRAND SLAM to seal the deal and even series at 2.  This forces a game 6 in Houston no less.  Nationals have their big guns going in next two games in Scherzer and Strasburg. They really need to win these next two. I don't like their chances in a game seven.

Just hours before the first pitch in Game 5 of the World Series in Washington, news broke that the highly anticipated duel between Astros ace Gerrit Cole and Nationals top starter Max Scherzer was not to be. The Nats' No. 1 was scratched from the assignment because of neck spasms, putting swingman Joe Ross on the spot as the man Washington has to entrust with the start in a series that's tied at two games apiece.

Nationals have lost their mo-jo...2-0 Astros early.  Lost this game and the Astros will walk it home next week in Houston.

Weird how Milwaukee and Houston essentially swapped "Leagues" as the numbers would be the same had they stayed put.
Selig no doubt had his hand in all that.

The play of the day was when the guy chest bumped the homerun ball while holding a beer in each hand.
Looked like a soccer play! Hat's off to him!

Not exactly. The Brewers were in the American League Central from 94-98, but moved so that both Leagues would have an even number (14 and 16). Then in 2013 they decided that their own idea was dumb, and that each league should have 15, but instead of sending Milwaukee back they moved Houston. It is speculation on my part that Selig did it all to get his team into the National League, but makes more sense than any other explanation, imo.

Assuming Houston held on, 5 games in and the home team has yet to win a game.  Whatâ€s the record on that?  If it hasnâ€t been set yet itâ€s gotta be damn close

Milwaukee was a national league team but moved to Atlanta and renamed. The move was to allow Milwaukee to be a national league team again. Well, that's the story we were told. I suspect there is a grain of truth somewhere, but being placed in the weakest division in baseball might be the real reason.
