In 1979 I knew kids who brought knives, bb guns and sling shots to school. The freshman school had a gun club. The teachers and coaches were WWII, Korean and Vietnam Vets. Today, the male teachers are pu$$ies who have never been in a schoolyard fight let alone combat.

From the time I was in cub scouts until I graduated from high school I always carried a pocket knife. And Iâ€m guessing most of the boys did then. Never got in trouble and no one ever got stabbed. The only restriction is that you couldnâ€t carry a switch blade or a blade longer than 4”.
Fast forward to my sonâ€s experience in school 35 years later, a kid got suspended for carrying a fingernail clippers.

One more...... my Dad and his friends used to take the bus to high school (in 1945-1947). They sometimes planned to go rabbit hunting after school, so they would bring their rifles and ammo on the bus, leave them on the bus during the day, then after school the school bus driver would drop them off at their favorite hunting spot after school.

I would not make it past September these days.
DC is a symptom, not the cause. The cause is basic voter stupidity and economic ignorance.

Yup. It was a different time back then. Now, swat teams would be sent out to take out some kids and the bus driver.

Yeah, I have to be careful here in China. I still carry a pocket knife with a 3 1/2” blade. And I have a Leatherman micro too. When I pull out the pocket knife people always give me a funny look.

Carry pointed chopsticks. Just make sure they are made in China.  Big Grin
