Feel free to opine about why you think I may be wrong. I'm not married to the theory, but I understand how DC works and why it doesn't. I don't see Barr operating in a system where he is worried about the election. I see him more concerned about crossing all the Ts and dotting the I s correctly.  That's my view. There is a LOT here that in my mind will be prosecuted.

I think this impeachment inquiry, etc... ironically paves the way for Barr to go for it. They can cry all they want about it being during an election year after they just tried to IMPEACH (oh excuse me, it's an inquiry. An "inquiry" made to look like actual impeachment proceedings for mass consumption) the POTUS based on nonsense. On that note, does the left have any self awareness? Any at all?Â

A lot of these folks are lawyers and understand how to cover themselves with plausible deniability and ensure that any evidence is circumstantial and inferential.
It's not easy to build a fact based provable case. Innuendo doesn't count.

What do you view as the clearest move provable case of a crime in all of this? McCabe? Comey?
What evidence do we have in public for that? What is the specific crime?
Partisans often see innuendo and inference as evidence, they aren't. Biden's son worked for this gas company. Was that a crime? Not in itself. Did he commit a crime? Maybe, what was it?

That's just the latest Fox News talking point to excuse Barr for his lack of production. If they want to get people, they pressure them and they swear them in and they find something to get them on. If Barr used the same type of tactics that were use on General Flynn and others you would see indictments and pleas. What is being done now is a total and complete joke.

I totally agree. What will get Trump is not his competitor (who ever that may be) but the total lack of production from the Barr and the likes considering "we have" good on them.

It almost certainly is better to gather all the relevant facts and evidence before an indictment. A defendant who sees how much evidence is in play will often plead and give information leading to others. A "rush to judgment" could end up with a dismissal with prejudice, and no information on anyone else.
I often see what appears to be bad conduct, but when I try and think about whether a specific statute was infracted, it gets less clear often as not in these cases.

There is little chance for that considering Durham was given authority only for "voluntary interviews" as part of his "review" process and has no grand jury support. In other words, obtaining evidence without even an investigation is going to be hard to do. I wish people had more critical thinking ability than to just swallow what some talking head on the boob tube tells them.
