Yom Kippur - The Day of Atonement
#1
From sun down tonight thru sun down tomorrow is the Feast or Yom Kippur. Itâ€s the Biblical Day Of Atonement. The one day of the year, that the High Priest was allowed to enter the Holy of Holies and make Atonement for the sins of Israel, just as Messiah Yeshua/Jesus†Blood was poured out for our Atonement.
Itâ€s considered the Holiest day of the year. When the Books are opened, and recorded in Heaven.

Here is a link with some info for anyone that is interested.

It certainly is a very special time for religious Jews.  I still remember Sandy Koufax not pitching on Yom Kippur in the 1965 World Series opening game.

There is a funny story with that.  Don Drysdale pitched the first game against the Twins since Koufax refused.  He got rocked for 6 or 7 runs early in the game.  As Dodger manager Walter Alston came out to the mound to take him away, Drysdale told him, I bet you wish I was Jewish too, Skip.  Big Grin
"Hightop can reduce an entire message board of men to mudsharks. It's actually pretty funny to watch."

Good story. Sandy showed he wasn't a hypocrite.
