I think the cans have that metal key, but I have not had any since college days.
Most of us eat hot dogs and sausage I presume but most of us don't like Spam.

I kept hoping the Braves could score two touchdowns in the 9th inning but never happened. Â STL layed the wood on them. Â
Finally cooled off here in the ATL but no significant rain.  Big trees are dying all over the place. Iâ€m building a 15 ft round fire pit and have a LOT of leveling to do.  Glad it finally cooled off.  HD was supposed to deliver my materials tomorrow but delayed a day.  Actually glad because I still have a good days prep work to do.   Played golf today and was on fire the front 9.  Bogeyed 10, doubled 11 and it went down hill after that.  I knew at least the Braves would win so that made me feel better.  Now I feel like crap again.  Maybe I need to watch some porn.  I have 3 dogs and a cat. They all need to stay clear of me tonight.  The Fiance†not helping.  Oh well, maybe theyâ€ll win next year. At least I know Ohio State wonâ€t lose this weekend.  Canâ€t decide if I want Florida or LSU to win.  Probably doesnâ€t matter in the end.  I think Georgia beats Florida and Bama beats LSU.  Iâ€d love to see LSU take Bama out so maybe I root for Florida and then LSU can beat Bama and Georgia/Florida for me is a “donâ€t really careâ€.

Haven't had Spam in 40 years but I do remember eating it as a kid. It always seemed kind of slimy.
Spam is indeed huge in Hawaii, our bus driver that took us to Pearl Harbor went on a detailed oration about it. Claimed it is even a delicacy and served at Thanksgiving. 15 foot fire pit is huge, u burning sequoia trees in it?

Meanwhile, it appears the EV tax credit thing is being abused. Huh.

The regionâ€s white population is anticipated to drop from 47.5 percent in 2015 to just 31 percent in 2050. “The share of Hispanic residents will reach 21 percent in 2050, up from 12 percent in 2015, while the share of black residents will remain steady at about 33 percent,†the report says. “The share of Asians and residents of other race and ethnic backgrounds is forecast to increase to 14 percent, compared to 8 percent in 2015.†Maybe I should be learning Spanish instead of French? Thirty years from now, nearly 9 million folks in the metro area. That is nearly a 50% increase. And I imagine they will add more counties as this happens. Traffic will become untenable entirely unless we get autonomous driving. I just finished a book about the city 1847-1890 and was surprised how fast it recovered after 1864. The population in 1870 was double what it was in 1860 despite some "urban renewal" in 1864. The city happened to be in the right place for growth, the city of Decatur was here before Atlanta 6 miles to the east and remains a rather smallish city, but it was 6 miles from where the tracks all joined. The good news is I should have a lot of dining options. If I'm still here.

So, the Pride Festival is going on in the park across the street and someone with a bullhorn is yelling "You will all burn in Hell forever and ever.".

Now folks with drums showed up. Â Maybe that is the end of the parade.
Some quiet would be nice.

At work they're always trying to get people to participate in these community events. Typically it's management that has to eat the ***** sandwich. So on that note, we have this video screen up at work that shows recent events. One of them showed fellow employees/managers marching in the pride parade. These people are not gay. So the question: If pressured in your work environment, would you march in one of those things? Of course my immediate answer is hell no! But I'm not management either. I'm just assuming they are "encouraged" to participate. Apparently the company wants to buy street cred from these pressure groups. It's embarrassing to me how easy these companies fold to the slightest hint of pressure. |
