Here's her (a cop) punishment:
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- A former police officer was ordered to informal probation Tuesday after she reportedly recorded a man's genitals and made a mentally ill man "twerk" for a video. Rachel Sorkow, an LVMPD patrol officer, was arrested in March 2019 on five counts of felony misconduct, along with "capturing the image of the private area of another person," and indecent exposure. According to court records, Sorkow pleaded guilty in October 2019 to misconduct of a police officer. During her Feb. 25 sentencing, Judicial Officer Mary Kay Holthus ordered Sorkow to 18 months informal probation, meaning Sorkow won't have to regularly check in with a probation officer. Additionally, Sorkow must complete 100 hours of community service, submit to a mental health evaluation and avoid any arrests or citations. Sorkow was also ordered to voluntarily resign from LVMPD. https://www.fox5vegas.com/news/crime/ex-...3d1b9.html Here's what she did: According to an arrest report, 29-year-old Rachel Sorkow used her position as a police officer to look up criminal history and other personal information of individuals to benefit herself or other people on at least 19 occasions. The information was usually requested by friends who wanted to know if potential girlfriends or boyfriends had a criminal history. She also looked up information for another female police officer who believed her ex-boyfriend had stolen her car. That police officer then used the information to confront the ex-boyfriend at his home. Additionally, 7 videos were discovered on Sorkow's phone during an investigation that were recorded by Sorkow while she was on duty. In the videos, Sorkow would order individuals she encountered to perform various acts which she recorded and shared. In the first instance, Sorkow can be heard directing a "mentally ill" man dressed in women's clothing to twerk. She also tells him to show her how to "Superman." Afterwards, Sorkow sent the video to 3 people. In one message, she referred to the man as a "shim," which is a transphobic slur. In another video, Sorkow recorded a man in handcuffs being made to eat gummy bears by another police officer. Skorkow can be heard saying "Partners with the community, feeding criminals gummy bears." "Partners with the Community" is painted on all of the department's marked patrol cars. During the third incident, Sorkow recorded a conversation with a woman in the back of a patrol car. Sorkow asks the woman what she loves and the woman responds she loves donuts and brownies and describes how she likes to eat them. Sorkow then asks the woman if she has ever thought about going on a reality TV show about being overweight. She then directs the woman to pull down her pants to expose her stomach and asks if she got the stomach because of the donuts. In another video featuring the same woman, Sorkow asks the woman if she breast feeds. The woman responds she does not but begins rubbing her right breast and says that she has the "boobs to do it." These two videos were sent to at least 8 people. In the 4th incident, Sorkow was responding to a call about a male exposing himself in front of a convenience store. After taking the man into custody, Sorkow recorded 3 videos. In the first video, the man is standing in front of a patrol vehicle with his hands behind is back when Sorkow yells at him to "do that again." The man raises his right leg and kicks the car. Because of a rip in his jeans, the man's genitals were exposed and clearly visible to Sorkow and anyone else in the area. Sorkow can be heard giggling while zooming in with her cell phone, according to the report. In the 2nd video, Sorkow can be heard instructing the man who is now in a patrol vehicle to show her "how to dougie." She also recorded a conversation with him that contained racial slurs. In the 3rd video with the same man, Sorkow and the man have a conversation about the size of his genitalia. Sorkow sent the videos to various friends, family members and police officers. The videos were accompanied by text messages that indicated that she was amused by what she recorded. Sorkow also repeatedly defended the recording of the videos during an interview with detectives, saying they were funny and there was no malicious intent. In addition, Sorkow is accused of sharing photos that she took while investigating a child neglect case with one of her friends. One of the photos showed dead rats inside a residence. She also shared screenshots of the incident crime report, which contained personal information. https://www.ktnv.com/news/crime/internal...er-to-jail

Police Board Orders 2 Officers Fired In 2016 Shooting That Killed Paul Oâ€Neal March 19, 2020 at 9:15 pm
CHICAGO (CBS) — The Chicago Police Board has ruled that two officers will be fired for the 2016 shooting that killed a teen named Paul Oâ€Neal. Officers Michael Coughlin and Jose Torres were fired Thursday for the incident. On July 28, 2016, while on duty in a marked squad car, Coughlin and Torres received a radio report that other officers were chasing a stolen Jaguar. It turned out that the Jaguar was being driven by Oâ€Neal and a passenger who was a minor, the Police Board said. The officers drove to 75th Street and Merrill Avenue in South Shore, the Police Board said. Torres was driving the squad car, while Coughlin unholstered his gun – a 9mm Glock 19, police said. Once they arrived in the area, in an effort to keep the vehicle from escaping, Torres drove the wrong way down a one-way street and then stopped the squad car in the middle of the street to block access, the Police Board said. Afterward, the Police Board said the following events happened in rapid succession. After blocking the street with the squad car, Torres got out and moved onto the grass near the sidewalk. Afterward, the Jaguar appeared – driving north on Merrill Avenue toward the squad car blocking the road with an unmarked police vehicle chasing behind it, the Police Board said. Coughlin got out of the squad car with his gun raised and started shooting at the moving stolen car right away, the Police Board said. The stolen vehicle kept going north on Merrill Avenue and ended up passing the squad car, but did so by veering toward the area where Torres was standing on the grass, the board said. Torres jumped out of the way, while Coughlin went on shooting at the car, the board said. Video showed that the when the stolen car was passing Officer Torres, Officer Coughlin was shooting not only at the stolen car itself, but in Torres†direction, the board said. The car kept going anyway, past Coughlin and Torres and toward another police vehicle occupied by two other officers who were responding to the scene. Coughlin kept shooting at the rear of the stolen vehicle, and Torres fired one shot at the car too, the board said. The Jaguar ended up crashing into the second police vehicle, and the video footage showed that Coughlin and Torres were not only shooting in the direction of the Jaguar, but also toward the other two officers in the second police car, the board said. All of this happened in a period of six seconds, the board said. more: https://chicago.cbslocal.com/2020/03/19/...aul-oneal/
