2019 Ohio State Buckeye Football Season...
If you didn't see the throw Chunganov made to Wilson you have to go find it.  GREAT catch on a pretty good deep toss.

Where's that idiot Redhawk player who flashed the OH in the first qtr? Justin has 19 TD's after 3 and a half games. Haskins had 17 after 4. Not saying he will continue at that place but not a bar start.

So, what have we learned?

OSU has a fearsome, if untested, offense.

Michigan is FAR worse than I expected.  They aren't as bad as Tennessee, quite.

Wisconsin is the REAL Wisconsin.

Nebraska is not what I thought they were.

Making "cute" predictions rarely works for a reason.

What happened to Michigan's mystique under Jim Harbaugh?
Former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer assessed the Wolverines' blowout loss to Wisconsin during Fox Sports' post-game show on Saturday, refusing to place blame on inconsistencies offensively or players being out of position on the other side of the ball.
The problem lies much deeper, he says.

"First of all congrats to coach (Paul) Chryst, we undervalued their skill, excellent team,” Meyer said. “People are going to look at that game and ask, ‘Whatâ€s the problem? Letâ€s blame the players and coaches.†Thatâ€s not the case. Thereâ€s good players in that program. Every year, they recruit. Every one one of those players on that field are highly-recruited guys.
"Those coaches are (good) coaches. You have to lift up the hood and ask what is wrong. Those guys can play. They can coach. Thereâ€s a problem there. You lift up that hood and youâ€re not going to like what you see.”
Meyer's suggestion that there's a culture issue within the Michigan program is far-reaching, but perhaps he's onto something. His opinion that Michigan has the roster and coaching staff to win is proven — the Wolverines are ranked 11th nationally in the 247Sports Team Talent Composite for 2019, which grades every FBS roster from top to bottom.
Comparatively, Wisconsin is rated 33rd with eight four-star players compared to 33 at Michigan.
From the outset this season, it appeared Harbaugh had all the ingredients to finally win big in Ann Arbor — a play-making senior quarterback, a home run staff of assistants and most importantly, no Meyer staring back at him across the sideline. But another folly on the grand stage, this one more embarrassing than most, singed Harbaugh's reputation to burning embers.
Picked to win the Big Ten for the first time since 2012 by media members, the Wolverines assumed their toughest games this fall would come against Notre Dame and Ohio State at home, considering they had two open weeks prior to playing Wisconsin and Michigan State.
One contest into that brutal four-game slate, Michigan failed its first test miserably.
"That's where I'd pick us," Harbaugh said at Big Ten Media Days when asked about the Wolverines being voted No. 1. "I feel like, as I said earlier, I feel like our team is in a really good place. A young, enthusiastic team with good players with a lot of good experience. I feel good about our coaching staff."
Perhaps instead of there being a culture problem, as Meyer suggests, the bar was set too high for the Wolverines both inside the program and out. Assumptions were made about first-year offensive coordinator Johs Gattis being a home-run hire based on his success at Alabama when no one really knew how his scheme would translate with Michigan's personnel.
There's a lot of finger-pointing going on right now, but the buck stops with Harbaugh and he'd be the first to say he failed the program on Saturday in Madison.

The bar is set too high?  If they have top players and top coaches, where should the bar be set?

It's nice now to note the bar was set too high, but that is NOT the cause of the issues we see on the field, it's merely a comment on what now is obvious to everyone.

I think the issues were always present - they seemed small or unnoticeable at the time. Unlike TN and UCLA, which dropped off all together after one season, Mich has gradually gotten worse. For TN it was 2004 and UCLA 1999. Mich will win 8-10 games a season, so will Iowa, WSU and UCF. Mich was a senior loaded team last season. If it needs to wait 4 years to have a decent team it's over, and Mich will end up like Iowa, Wis, and NW.

Is coach khaki pants' buyout too high?

I would bring back Hoke. At least he beat Ohio.
DC is a symptom, not the cause. The cause is basic voter stupidity and economic ignorance.

I've been reading some on Tennessee of late.  They could be 1-7 this year, and some claim Fulmer will take over after their tough stretch of games.

I think that would be even more of a disaster than keeping Pruitt 2-3 more years.  Jones really did a number of them I think.

Tennessee should have paid Lane Kiffin. It dodged a bullet by not signing Schiano.

It's amazing how one school, especially one with such massive fan support, can make so many bad hiring decisions.  Or maybe there is some other problem.  I thought Butch Jones would at least be good for some 9 win seasons.  Most of the SEC East has been down but it still has not helped them any.

I don't think the Vols dodged any bullets here.  They lost to Georgia .... STATE!!!!

And BYU and Florida.
