The only reason I would use an AR for home defense is multiple invaders. Not sure I could quickly shoot 4 or 5 bad guys in the face with the .458. 5.56 works fine for me. Heck I have a nice little Beretta PC in .40 that shoots nice. And I have plaster, not drywall.

Such comments make one wonder why Congressmen cannot get their comments "checked" before they utter them. They have staff. It would take 1 minutes to check the assertion. They just don't care?

Maybe the media don't hold them to account, so they don't have any concern and just say anything they want.
