Senate bravely votes to keep spending our money to avoid a shutdown…
#1
Senators voted 82-15 on the continuing resolution (CR), which will fund the government through Nov. 21. Lawmakers had until Monday night to prevent the second funding lapse of the year. The measure, which passed the House last week, now heads to President Trumpâ€s desk, where White House officials have said they expect him to sign it.

The short-term funding bill includes a provision requiring the Department of Agriculture to provide state-by-state data on the effects of President Trumpâ€s trade war, extends funding for a slew of health programs and the National Flood Insurance Program and reauthorizes the Export-Import Bank.

Senators rejected an amendment from Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) that would have cut spending to help pay for the stopgap bill.

Rand Paul could have been the one who was president for the last 3 years...

Is his hair not bad enough? Is that the problem?

We no longer want a leader. We want a carnival barker. We want a reality star.  We want easy.

Except he had zero chance to win the general election and received no significant support to even get the nomination.  But he does know what Aleppo is unlike the idiot you voted for.

This is true-on both the left and the right.

He had no chance to win the general election because people don't care about substance and intelligence, they want somebody with shallow charisma that will tell them what they want to hear, even if that person has the depth of a rain puddle.

I would bet a lot of money that Trump had no clue what Aleppo was before he started getting federal security briefings.

If you can't get any support in the GOP nomination process, then you would have zero chance against the Democrats and their media smear machine.  Paul is not a street fighter like Trump and would have been destroyed.

There was a party who had a candidate
and Aleppo was his name O
A L E P P O ..... A L E P P O
and Aleppo was his name O

Gary Johnson single handily pushed the Libertarian Party back 30 years. His campaign slogan should have been "Up in Smoke".
DC is a symptom, not the cause. The cause is basic voter stupidity and economic ignorance.

Yeah, like I said, voters have few standards, including the GOP .
