Corporations pay CEOs a lot of money also, and most have no current financial issues of particular note at this time.

I'd relabel this to say they pay their professors a lot of money.  Financial issue?  Maybe, maybe not.

I bet the football HC makes many times more than this, and yes, it's funded out of a different pot.

They are essentially government employees.  Should a government employee, a teacher, be making more than the POTUS?
Seeing as someone said the POTUS wasnâ€t taking a salary so even the burger flipper is making more.

It doesnâ€t seem out of line.

"Herb, youâ€ve been a generous supporter of UW for many years. Economics are an important part of your life and you know the value of top economists and the need for UW to keep supplying them. Would you consider a gift of $25,000,000 to create a Kohl endowment which will go towards attracting and keeping the best Econ educators in the world?" - Imagined words of UW development office. I went to a seminar led by Marcy Heim, who raised funds for the University of Wisconsin Foundation.

Diploma Mills.

We're asked to donate often. I talked her out of asking her parents to donate a lot of coin. I explained it to her, she was shocked. Princeton U. gets a check for $20k a year from her parents. They get a check for $20 a year from me. Big Grin
