When the Peta people get their way and great apes get the same rights as humans, we will have three or four gorilla kids in each classroom, with the expectation for us to pretend as though our differences are only skin deep.

On the plus side, they will make for some pretty mean linebackers.

I see both sides of the argument but to the side who was against this, how would you control a violent 6 year old in school, who obviously has done this before. The obvious is that there is no discipline at schools, teachers are handcuffed when they want to do something so what is the solution?

teachers are handcuffed.  And the kids know it.  a friend of mine did his student teaching in the inner city.  A vast majority of this problem lies between parents who no longer parent, and authority figures in the school who are so limited in their ability to exercise the authority that they should have, that anything goes.  As I said in my very first post, there is SO MUCH wrong with this.  The grandmother making excuses......the fact that she's raising her grandchild is likely indicative of the job she did with her kids(this child's parent)......

Again....we are talking about a 6 year old.  Not a 10 year old or a teenager.  If a policeman who is trained in restraint resorts to handcuffs to subdue 6 year old.....he's lost already.  And shouldn't be doing what he's doing.

Understand, but he really can't put a hand on her, and he probably knows this and that's why he handcuffed her. Thinking. I also don't think that this is the first rodeo for the kid either. The race of the child doesn't matter, she was a violent individual who had to be subdued. BTW the cop was black but that really doesn't matter either.

Kids haven changed that much but the freedom to let kids do stuff without discipline has. I'd like to see you trying to control a child like that without any physical contact to restrain her or do damage to anyone or herself. Booking her might have been extreme but handcuffing her for her and other protection was justified, unless your the type that condones the lack of discipline and individual freedom as a child's right.

Well,  even the police chief disagrees with you.  Cops can't handcuff anyone under 12 without approval.

I agree that he broke the rules stating that a supervisor much approve the handcuffing first, but I'm sure we'll see the girl in the future news some how, "That type of behavior was not unexpected or out of character for her granddaughter, Meralyn Kirkland said".

Even people in this thread are wishy washy, saying the RO should have physically restrained her yet also saying handcuffs were inappropriate.  Handcuffing her is the least physical thing that could have been done to her yet for some reason people are repulsed as if she is now scarred for life.  It's no wonder things are the way they are.

Future Alabuck would be blaming their low test scores and propensity to bite the other students on the secularization of public schools, combined with the liberal welfare state creating a lot of single parent households within the gorilla community. 

Future Zig would be googling up articles about some white guy out there somewhere who beats his chest and flings his poo, declaring that it proves that the gorilla behavior patterns are environmental and not genetic. 

Future stxbuck will be calling us butthurt nazis if we don't want our daughters marrying the gorillas. 

Future P!tch will post gifs of a guy running around frantically, with a caption that says "gorilla kids, noooooo!!!!" while starting thread after thread about unarmed gorillas getting shot by the police that they were biting, and bakers refusing to bake the gorilla-human wedding cakes. 

Future Seminole will take delight in the human kids getting bit by the gorillas and say that they deserve it, since their ancestors kept the gorilla ancestors in cages. 

Future Bonebuck will say that they are actually superior to us, due to the fact that they are even bigger, stronger and faster than the mighty black people. 

Then future silicon valley will step in and shut down the board a time or two for promoting bigotry towards our gorilla overlords. 

Really, it won't be all that different.

LOL.  I can see Bone's church inviting them into the country as refugees and getting money from the government to sponsor them.  Church members will be marrying some of them to ease their white guilt.
