Johnson having weld as his VP pick was all I needed to know about the LP.  They've never been concerned with even appearing to try to win.  This is a party simply conceived with the notion of siphoning off votes from the GOP.  I used to be a member.  I gave them money.  And now that I'm older and wiser I feel as though they ripped me off.  I mean think about it:  How tough would it really be to have a goal of getting 33.335% of the vote in just the right/right amount of states?  If you were serious about your platform and reeeeeeeally wanted to win a presidential election you could raise money and organize to the point of making that a reality within 8--12 years.    

2016 was a GOLDEN opportunity to make real headway.  To make real noise.  To get people excited about you as a party going forward.  Bill effffffing Weld.  Brilliant.  

As for the Trump/Biden stuff, I see the MSM is pretending to have Mr Marbles' back.  They're throwing around the infamous "conspiracy theory" line to smear Biden's accusers, yet deep down they are loving every minute of this.  They get grandpa Marbles out of the race asap so they can rally around the next vapid hipster that thinks the green new deal was some stroke of genius

He got 2/5 right.  I aint voting for 2/5 of my personal agenda.  He's not even giving me half a loaf, let alone the whole enchilada.  The climate change position alone is a disqualifier.  I couldn't possibly pull the lever for some jackass that buys into that nonsense.  

Maximum freedom.  Ok, but there's that pesky murder thing with abortion.  It's LIFE, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Weed.  Not exactly a hill worth dying on, but I have no problem with grown azz adults being allowed to choose what they want to consume (as long as it isn't a drug that leads to violence on others or dependence which leads to theft, car accidents, etc...)

Trump instructed administration to withhold military aid for Ukraine days before call with president: report

President Trump instructed acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney to place a hold on nearly $400 million in military aid to Ukraine shortly before a phone call in which he allegedly tried to persuade the nation's president to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden, The Washington Post reported Monday.

Officials with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), for which Mulvaney also serves as director, passed the order on to the Defense and State departments in mid-July at an interagency meeting, according to the Post, citing three senior administration officials.

OMB officials told the Pentagon and State Department that Trump had "concerns" about the necessity of spending the money and instructed them to simply tell lawmakers that the aid was being held due to an "interagency process," which continued for nearly two months before the funds were released earlier this month, according to the newspaper.
