The government calls what he did illegal. I think he is a hero for exposing the government steamrolling our rights. Would you be okay with the government putting cameras in your house and car? All that's doing is collecting video, when they're already collecting every phone call, text, email and probably every web search. Where would you draw the line in the name of safety?

And another thing, what about the hackers that break into your computer and hold you (and sometimes whole cities) hostage.  This is a huge problem.  Do you want the government to be involved in stopping this lawlessness/extortion?  How do you think they would be able to do this?  Would you want them to use the techniques you are condemning when used to thwart terrorism to hunt these predators down?  How else can it be done?  Pollyanna died on 9-11 when tower 2 came down.  Grow up.

FYI, I wasn't complaining in this thread. I simply said Snowden was a hero.  He risked incredible consequences to expose government wrongdoing. The government needs to figure how to protect the country within the confines of the constitution.
