The government calls what he did illegal. I think he is a hero for exposing the government steamrolling our rights. Would you be okay with the government putting cameras in your house and car? All that's doing is collecting video, when they're already collecting every phone call, text, email and probably every web search. Where would you draw the line in the name of safety?

You elevate a treasoness ***** to hero status.  Frankly, the ease with which you try to glorify treason is extremely troubling.  You believe that anyone should have the right to disregard laws and statutes, that they have sworn to defend, because they believe these laws and statutes are unconstitutional or somehow illegal or they just plain do not agree with them?  How about if they have a grievance with someone and/or some entity and revealing these secrets will somehow make them feel better or in their minds remedy the grievance?  Do we let them off the hook also?  Are they a hero also in your mind?  A treasonous ***** is a treasonous ***** when they commit treason.  Thought processes that went into these decisions are irrelevant.

Like I said, I don't want to live in a country where the government can Stomp all over our rights and then punish citizens who expose that. Apparently you do. More and more people are willing to give away their rights for a little bit of safety. That is the Democrats reason for trying to take our guns, by the way.

Funny, you didn't answer my questions.  The country you describe as being where you want to live is nothing but anarchy.  We each will decide what rules and laws we will obey based on our individual feelings or beliefs.   I don't want to live in that kind of country.  No order, just chaos.  Your hero will hopefully hang if he is stupid enough to come back.  Believe me, he doesn't believe in his cause enough to commit suicide.  He's just your average traitor stuck in Russia who now knows that communist life ain't all its cracked up to be.

You think that protecting our privacy is anarchy.  You are also part of the problem and why our rights are disappearing.
Tell ALL of us how you didn't have some rights today or yesterday or a year ago prior to Snowden doing what he did?  How did your life change?

No, I think that choosing what laws I think are right and which laws I don't like or shouldn't apply to me so I'll disregard those is anarchy.  I know you are not as dumb as you are pretending in this thread.  Things changed on 9-11.  Islamist terrorists showed they can hide amongst us in plain sight and kill thousands of us if given the opportunity to make plans.  They use cell phones.  They use email.  They use the internet.  I want to know what their plans are before the next attack.  I want my government to get these plans any way possible.  If I am inconvenienced a little then so be it.  Waaa, they are listening to my calls and/or reading my emails.  Waaa, they are seeing what sights I am looking at on the computer.  Wipe away the tears and grow a pair.  They couldn't care less what you are talking about or writing about of surfing about, unless you have something to hide.  You know they could be listening or reading or watching.  You know this.  What is the problem?  Are you too stupid to work around this if need be?  Newsflash, don't communicate over any telecommunication platforms if you want to hide something.

And another thing, what about the hackers that break into your computer and hold you (and sometimes whole cities) hostage.  This is a huge problem.  Do you want the government to be involved in stopping this lawlessness/extortion?  How do you think they would be able to do this?  Would you want them to use the techniques you are condemning when used to thwart terrorism to hunt these predators down?  How else can it be done?  Pollyanna died on 9-11 when tower 2 came down.  Grow up.

Snowden exposed government infringing on our rights.  The government has no right to collect every text, email and phone call that I send. It's that simple.

Would you allow the government to install cameras in your house and car?

Maybe you are that dumb.  Talk about me missing the point.  Priceless.  Remember 9-11?  Everything changed that day.  Everything.  You can thank Islamic terrorists for the laws we live with today.  Go after THEM if you feel your rights are being violated.  They are the ones who planned and executed the attack that killed 3000 Americans IN ANMERICA.  This happened because America couldn't pay enough to attention to twenty fun loving Islamic lads who were visiting America.  Wouldn't/couldn't violate their rights to plan their murderous attack.  I hear nothing but complaining from you about everything but you offer no solutions.  You want to change things, come up with a plan that would placate your hurt feelings.  If you can't, just shut the hell up.

What Snowden did was needed. How he did it was wrong. I wouldn't call him a hero or traitor.

What do terrorists/9-11 have to do with the government collecting every email, text and phone call that I send?

FYI, I wasn't complaining in this thread. I simply said Snowden was a hero.  He risked incredible consequences to expose government wrongdoing. The government needs to figure how to protect the country within the confines of the constitution.

Would  you be ok with the government putting cameras in your house and car and collecting everything you do?

Not really.  You see the Constitution as a tool for "social justice", not to protect liberty.

You said you don't want to live in this country because they can and do steamroll our rights and then punish citizens who expose them.

So if you don't want to live in this country, then you must have some other in mind. Presumably one that cannot steamroll the rights of their citizens and then punish citizens who expose them.

I was merely wondering if you knew of any such countries? The fact that you don't is unsurprising, considering that there aren't any that currently exist, and there never will be any in the future.

Those guys that have all the guns, prisons and tanks? Yeah, this pretty much have this MFer on lock down.
