I don't mind honest IPAs, but I've seen many claiming to be "over the top".
This is rather amusing.

At least US wines are starting to drift back to being balanced, at least enough of them that I can find good ones.
I can get Chateau St. Michelle Indian Wells Merlot here for about $12 if I buy a case. I got a case of Kirkland labeled Bordeaux last week I'm enjoying, $8 a bottle. The Kirkland brands are mostly quite good for the money in my experience (for me).

Went to saddleback mountain brewery and had dinner here in Goodyear .  Food was ok.  Beer was good.  Got two draft for 4 bucks by showing my game ticket.  Wife had cream ale and I had imperial red ale.

Tried some new beer tonight on tap from a brewery out of Lexington, Blue Stallion. The two I had, both IPA's were pretty mediocre and way over priced. Thank God I was able to walk next door and have a couple of Dundee IPA's before going home. Still consider them the best IPA I have had. Home now and drinking a Mile Wide Brabble, a lighter blonde ale, with supper.

Been gone for about 9 days so was glad to enjoy one of these when I got back.

zig, that is not the same beer. The one I am enjoying here is brewed locally by Monnick Brewing company exclusively for the Dundee Tavern which is near where I live. It is not being bottled or canned. You are going to have to drive over here to enjoy that one, brother.  That other Dundee IPA is apparently in Rochester.

I am a good host here in the Derby City.  I will buy. Just don't ask for a place to sleep afterward.  Good pub grub at the Dundee too.

Will be going to a 3 Floyds Tap Takeover tomorrow night at my neighborhood craft brewery. Good brewer out of northern Indiana. The place will be packed with all the 3 Floyds fans around here.  Zombie Dust is a big favorite but looking forward to the hazy IPA, a style that has grown on me. Life is good.
On tap will be: Zombie Dust 6.2 Pale Ale Blot out the Sun 10.5 Imperial Stout Von Munsthur  4.8 Pilsner Cheer Team Ale 7.2 American IPA Center Square   5.9 Peach Berliner Weisse 25 Million Dollar Man 6.5 Hazy IPA

I agree even with a short drive home. I will probably have two or three before coming home to eat and then have some bourbon.
