Sounds like a great night.

Beer? Wine? Whisky or Whiskey? What are we drinking? What happened to Syncro?

New brewery and beer for me tonight. Â
Mirror Twin is a new brewery out of Lexington, Ky. Enjoyed their Mosaic Monster IPA tonight on tap. This is a New England style IPA that runs about 6.5%. I would rate it as very good and recommend although they are not yet distributing.

Supper is over and now settling in for some bourbon. Tonight is Larceny, one of the best if not the best value in bourbon. Not only is Larceny a great entry level bourbon in terms of price, it is readily available for most. Highly recommend.

Man, they've totally ruined this beer.
It used to be rich, malty and interesting.
Now, it's horribly boozy in a dry way and harsh. Kinda gross. Maybe cellar it for a few years?
A bad beer now. Quite medicinal in the worst way. Yikes. Me no likey. Maybe I'll review it?

Something people do not believe until I show them is the importance of the glass in drinking any of these beverages. It makes no sense, to me, to drink even a $20 bottle of wine out of a crappy wine glass. The same it true for bourbon etc., though less I find for beer.
The second thing for wine is the wine glass appropriate for the type of wine. No one believes this either until they try it.
Then they are amazed.

This is true. I have to have a certain glass for my evening beer.

Well do tell. What type of glass goes with each beverage. Keep in mind I am poor folk. My glasses come from Dollar general.

I bought a set of these for beer and they make a big difference. The perfect size at 13oz.
