It's a stretch to say this trade adds 2 wins to next year's total. I'd say 1, maybe 2. So probably around 11-5 in 2019.

I understand. The market... AB cost 3rd and 5th; Cooper only cost a late #1; Odell is somehow worth 1st and 3rd and Peppers.

May have overpaid a little but not getting someone of his caliber would be huger.   OBJ is younger than Brown so you pay a little more and he is arguably better than Cooper.

Peppers is average at best so no loss there. OBJ is worth a first rounder and a third. So itâ€s a decent trade IMO for the Browns as long as OBJ keeps his ego in check.

Regarding my comment the Browns overpaid... 

1) Purely on talent... a possible HoF WR, Odell is worth the investment.

2) Financially... the Browns get Odell at a cash discount (Giants eat the signing bonus). 

3) Personality... Browns assume a huge risk, not Gordon-esque level, but the risk is high that he will be a problem or blow up. There is already hints he wants a new contract because his current contract (made him the highest paid WR) no longer gives him that title. AB is now the highest paid WR. Odell... not worth the risk that he'll blow up and the Browns will be left holding the bag while forfeiting 2 high picks (and 2 starters) and a better than average, potentially elite safety.

My experience with following the Browns is that right when everything is looking great, that is when they crash the hardest.

Is D. Randall a better safety? How many would consider Vonn Bell, Landon Collins, or Tyrann Mathieu a significant upgrade from Peppers?

I haven't seen a huge misstep that Dorsey has made in over a year. Unlike prior FO's, who have typically started screwing up within weeks of assuming the role.

I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt till he does.

#17... miss out on Devin White or one of the Top 3 OTs.
Package 3rd rd picks, #80 and #95, or mid-late 2nd rd and get a quality WR. Terry McLaurin has the skill set to be a Probowl WR.
Peppers... performed at a very high level. No reason to think his improvement wouldn't continue.

Considering his personality + the mammoth contract + injuries + forfeiting 3 starters = unattractive reward/risk.
