Belichick was not ready. I suspect he learned a ton there as did Saban. My lord , You ever watch the documentary about the 99 Browns.?
Bill at at midseason had a draft board already filled out for the 2000 draft. Guess who was #1 and #2 on that list.
Jonathon Ogden and Ray Lewis only the main cornerstones of the Ravens 1st Super Bowl Championship team.
Bill refused to Coach in Baltimore and was let go , Ozzie Newsome took Bill's draft with him to Baltimore and until
this day gets credit with being a genius as a GM.
Ozzie did it over 18 years.....if it was Bill's "genius" he wouldn't have lasted 5.....

Ozzie had time to learn , didn't say he wasn't a good GM , just said he got way to much credit.Â
I'm sure Bill will compare Super Bowl Rings with him anytime.

I am predicting 9-10 wins.
What new additions do you really like? What are going be the strengths? Weaknesses?
How about Kitchen? You like that hire?

Berea's one of my old stomping grounds; Finnie Stadium and the 'Hive' to be exact.
As for the Browns. I'm thinking they might win 2 games.

7-9 wins. They aren't taking anyone by surprise this year. For the first time in FOREVER, they have expectations placed on them. We will see how they react to all that.

There 1st 4 games are very tricky , Versus the Titans tough ground control team that just missed the Playoffs last year under Coach Mike Vrable , Then they go to the New York Jets and Sam Darnold who will be out for revenge after the Browns beat them on National TV for their 1st win since going 0-16 the year before, Week 4 is a Division matchup with the Baltimore Ravens who essentially knocked the Browns out of the Playoffs last year and earned that spot themselves.
They go 3-1 they win 10+ games, They go 2-2 they are still very much viable for a Playoff spot and can reach 9-10 wins .
1-3 puts them in a big hole, but wouldn't count them out as long as Baker stays healthy.
Weakness , Tackling MUST improve , LBers have a lot to prove especially Joe Schobert who although leading team in tackles also led NFL in missed Tackles , Depth along the Defensive line could be a problem also.
On Offense the finger is in the dam so to speak with the Offensive line. There is talent galore at the skilled positions and RB with or without The Duke of Johnson.
And if Baker stays healthy did i mention that yet.? There is NO good Depth at QB you want to go any stretch of the season with.
Go Browns!!!!

^Well put, if they can stay healthy I think they can win the division and finish with 10-12 wins

1. Cleveland Browns
Big additions:Â WRÂ Odell Beckham Jr., DEÂ Olivier Vernon, DTÂ Sheldon Richardson, RBÂ Kareem Hunt
Key losses:Â OGÂ Kevin Zeitler, SÂ Jabrill Peppers, DEÂ Emmanuel Ogbah
No team benefited more from the Giants' teardown than the Browns, who swapped Zeitler for Vernon, and then Peppers and picks for Beckham in the trade of the offseason. The Baker Mayfield-led offense should be stacked, especially once Hunt comes off his eight-game suspension. Don't underestimate the defensive line, where the Browns look as fearsome on paper as anyone. --Â
