Reality is, we will never have a lot of Liberals here because we, as a group, dont really want them here.  Those that pop in get insulted and ridiculed mercilessly.  Very little real discussion, just us ganging up on them.

Why would they want to come here and deal with that?

Im shocked Pitch takes it.  I think he loves tweaking the more conservative guys in here, but most wont take the abuse he does.

No i respect your posts but IMO your way off base on this. Like I said show me a post that any of the former Liberal that were here posted a factual truth and were jumped on and forced to leave. I don't think thats possible. 
Cincy who was a Liberal in sheep's clothing and a very bright poster even dug himself in holes by not being truthful or having a opinion he stood behind that was proven wrong. Like his Antifa / BLM post that they were peaceful organization and never did violent acts. When you tagged numerous articles showing that not to be true he fell back on the well here in Atlanta i never seen that so its not true defense. So yeah he got piled on and rightfully so as our cities burned last summer. Then he disappeared for months. Is that the boards fault. ?

If i didn't respect your posts i would move on and not respond. You post many things i agree with maybe i should acknowledge those ones more.

With Pitch i mess with him for the entertainment value. When i get enough of chasing my tail with him. I just end the conversation and generally tell him i'm done so he can move on to. All in good fun.

I have no issue with you, at all.  None.

Here's my bottom line.  I view these boards a little differently than most.  I WANT to hear views different than mine, because it challenges how I think, how I believe and how I process information.  That helps me grow.  So, I view a Somenole or a George or a Wylie or even the original fence sitter Cincy with value because they approach things differently.  That by no means is to be taken that I agree with them on anything or everything.  It just means that I appreciate the alternative view.

But, as I've said, people with alternative views are not viewed as valuable to the majority of posters.  Not just on this board, but on pretty much any board.  I know that ZZL is a fascist site.  They are the worse off for it, because nothing breeds ignorance like pure confirmation bias all the time.  

Now, as far as the respect thing, I'll give respect to pretty much anyone, even when I disagree with them.  I don't know what happened to Cincy but he kind of devolved into just a shell of his former self, where, as you accurately said, he couldn't bring himself to admitting to a bad opinion even when it was apparent for everyone that it was bad.  He wasn't always like that.  Siesta didn't have my respect.  Pitch does, if only for his sheer doggedness, but I'll give him grief just because I think he's a decent dude even though he's wrong on just so much. 

But there've been others who have had the opposing views who once they voiced one, a mob descends on them and there is no discussion.  There's tons of hyperbole, there's tons of strawmen, there's tons of ad hominem attacks.  That gets old and it's a shame.  

But then, I'm just one opinion, one voice among many who make this a cool place to hang out.

As i just came inside from talking with a my nextdoor neighbor  Educator who was bashing our educator Neighbor behind us who won't get her or her Family vaccinated because people on Instagram have told her its not safe and the Government is putting tracking chips in your arm.

Ones a Junior High Vice Principle and the other a Special needs Junior High Teacher. You figure out which one is who.
